When first I bought my boat the original trolling motor was mounted directly to the deck which over the years had created biggers holes. I just purchased the Minn Kota Terrova 24V 80 Ib trust model. I needed a way to remove my trolling motor when my boat is not parked in a highly secure place. This quick release allows me to hide my trolling motor until its time to hit the water. It's also useful when taking my boat to the shop to get it serviced. Just mount the quick release block where you would like your trolling motor to sit and install . Just a quick pin release and you can install and uninstall your trolling motor in 1 minute.
