Pleasantly surprised by the quality and durability of this little mini case. The trays are covered with some kind of weird plastic that is near impossible to get off, but it doesn't seem to interfere with the sliding in or out. The case went together easily and the trays are made of a decent metal that makes magnetic bases cling nicely without any movement. I plan to get a couple more in the near future.

I got the Weliday wooden storage case (in black) last month and I've been using it a bit. I like it. It feels sturdy and looks very classy. Assembly was straight-forward, it had all the parts, and nothing was damaged. I haven't used it to transport my miniatures yet, which I plan to do when my game picks up later this month, but I'm confident it will weather the travel across town easily. I'm looking forward to showing it off to my players at the game as it's a big step-up from my previous storage/transport solution. (I was using a foam packing. A case with metal trays such as this seems much cheaper given the price I've seen on punch-out foam solutions.) It will take me while to fill this one (I still have a couple unoccupied trays), so I hope this case is still available when I need to grow my storage again later. Note that the plexiglass window slides all the way up and out, it is only secured by gravity, so figuring out what to do with the front while the case is open is an issue. My solution so far has been to put one of the empty trays in the very top slot, then just don't take the plexiglass entirely out, but rather pull out the top tray a little and let the slotted plexiglass rest on it. Later when I want to use that tray, I may look at some other options that don't involve taking the plexiglass front completely off when it's open. (A small bolt latch on each side might be an option? Just something to cross the slot to prevent the plexiglass from sliding down.) I didn't deduct any stars in my rating for this quibble because I knew this was how the case worked when I made the purchase, and I chose it over a hinged-door option because I thought (and think) a hinged door might occasionally get in my way.

Half the price or less of competing products. Easy to put together and only has a few pieces for you to assemble. Products costing twice as much have foam rails which will at some point wear out. These are slits cut into wood (or at least wood product, there's no end-grain here so probably MDF) so they should hold up longer. Door slides up/down and out instead of swinging open which is nice as it has no latch to fail. When my miniature collection gets big enough I will get another one.

Originally purchased as a Christmas gift for my husband so it’s easier to move his miniatures. Well now we have three and he got me into warhammer too. Solid quality, I can’t complain. Came with everything needed and we have extra trays if we need them. It can be on the heavy side with everything in it, but go figure it’s made of wood. I love that it’s a solid color for the black wood one. Everything we need to transport fits. The trays can fit two land raiders side by side or a shadow sword easily on the trays. Do with that information what you will.

I don't want to jinx myself, but so far my cats haven't figured out a way to get this open and eat my Warhammer 40k minis. In the past, with some unfinished minis forgotten on a random shelf, they DID suffer such a horrible fate. The clear front is cool because you can see what's in there, and even put the best looking models in front to show them off a little. Gluing little magnets into your bases keeps the minis from sliding/flopping around when taking this to a game. It seems really solid and was easy to put together. I'm still building my Death Guard army, but I expect to be able to fit 2000 points in there pretty easy.

It is amazing. I don’t know if it’s composite wood or real wood but boy is it sturdy. Easy to put together. Looks great, trays work well with the magnets. Getting another one in about a month.
