These paints cover nicely and each bottle contains a generous amount of acrylic paint. I have used these paints on wood, plastic and composite material and they cover nicely on those materials. Excellent value for the money and the paints are consistent from bottle to bottle. There is evan a bottle of silver paint that must be shaken before using and it contains a mixing ball to make the job easy

Lots of separation in the paints. Mechanical shaking was only way to get them remixed. Might have been am older/aging box.

This paint set works very well for miniature painting. I have been using alongside golden maple brushes that are excellent (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CFXVB51K) This set provides the primary colors and common metallics that you need for most figurines. As well as a few more exotic hues on the brown-beige scale such as "Copper skin", "Beastly Tan", and "Viper skin". These are good for leather or skin tones. I also found the "Ironclad gray" to provide a striking effect. The coverage of the Orange and Yellow are not as good as the others, but that is an issue with every brand. A few coats gives good coverage without clumping or peeling. The paints come in densely packed tray that can be used for permanent storage. Overall this is a great starter set, especially since it includes a decent brush.

New to the hobby and this was my first paint purchase. Manly for price. Have yet to paint but first impressions are everything! Seems they were not mixed well, or time on shelf before shipping caused paints separate. Took time shaking and shaking and shaking before they began to mix. Questioning amount of paint in bottle. They are thick paints or amounts are low. Once I get them all mixed I will begin painting. PRt two of this review may be required.

I have only been painting miniatures for a few years now, but as many of us in the hobby tend to do, I have amassed quite a collection of miniature paints. I am primarily comparing these paints with my collection from Army Painter (Warpaints Fanatic), Two Thin Coats, and Games Workshop (Citadel). First off - value. There's no way to overstate this, these are going to be much cheaper per mL than any of the main brands in miniature painting. That's expected, I think, and is worth keeping in mind. You're going to get a big variety of colors here, and if you're comfortable mixing to fill in any gaps, you won't really need more basic colors. Quality. In many ways, this can be subjective, but I have to admit I did not find using these noticeably different than my regular paints. I found the opacity to be broadly similar, where good coverage took two or three thin (diluted) coats for most colors. Whites and yellows are always difficult, and I tend to build those up in layers by doing an undercoat of a color with a thicker opacity, like orange or grey. The metallics are quite thin already, so I would not advise thinning those much other than to ensure they flow nicely, but these are perhaps the ones you might find the most disappointing and need to do a few extra coats. Paint selection. I've mentioned this above briefly, but I do believe this is an excellent selection of colors for most people. I have way more paints than I need or use regularly, and if I limit myself to just these colors, I really can still paint everything I am used to, with one significant exception. There are no washes in this set! I think that's a big oversight, and including even one wash (brown or black) would really make this an all-in-one set for a beginner or somebody trying to build a collection. If you already have a bunch of paints, sure, you likely have washes, but in that case, I don't think you're the target market for this product. Finally, I want to comment on the included brush. It's fantastic! It claims to be kolinsky sable and I find that hard to believe considering the price and source, but I do believe it is a natural hair brush or at the very least a blend of natural and synthetic. Most of these sets include a poor synthetic which will hook quickly, but I've painted a warband of 6 models using primarily just the included brush, and as long as I take appropriate care of it, it is still holding its hook. I actually will consider buying a set of these brushes from Golden Maple to fill in my brush collection. I know a lot of people think beginners should start with a synthetic brush they're going to tear up as they learn, but I remember being so frustrated with my early synthetic brushes hooking that once I started using hair brushes, I enjoyed the hobby much more. Kudos to Golden Maple for including a nice brush in this set! In deciding on my star review for this, I am tempted to remove a star for the lack of a wash, but the inclusion of the nice brush more than makes up for it in my opinion so I am sticking with five stars.

These were a pleasant surprise. They certainly are not Army Painter or Citadel paints, but if you are learning, or you have younger kids who you are teaching? These are perfect. They covered well, and while I didn't go crazy and try and do shading or lots of overlays, for simple one-note painting (I am just not that good honestly) these worked great! Adhesion seemed fine, easy to use and dispense, and the quality of the color seemed not bad. Overall, a decent set of paints.

This is a great set for folks like me who have just started dipping their toe into the world of mini painting. I've been using this paint on my Warhammer 40k Thousand Suns army and it does a pretty solid job. Most of my work I actually start out with an airbrush. The paint itself is much too thick at first, but with an airbrush thinner and some work on finding the right mix, these paints do just fine through an airbrush. I found for my airbrush and compressor a ratio of equal parts did the trick nicely. Coverage was good and the paint stuck well! For detailing these paints do a pretty solid job. I did thin mine down ever so slightly - I found the paint was a bit thick for my liking otherwise. But it performed well, with a coat or two doing the trick in most instances. You get a really nice variety with these paints, making them a good starter set for someone new. I really like that a few base metallics were included - a gold, a silver, and a darker silver tone / gray. Overall, this is a good starter set if you're just getting into the hobby of mini painting. The barrier of entry is relatively low for the quality and variety of what you're getting!
