At first I was attracted to this range finder because it has a magnet and it would be convenient to just stick it on the cart, but to be honest, this device is so small that I just keep it in my pocket, which is even more convenient! This is a good little range finder for the price. Battery life seems to be good, easy to use and I like the size. Flag lock feature is great for my shaky hands. 1 con so far. The Magnet strength is HORRIBLE! Might as well not even have a magnet in it. Any little bumps and it goes flying. I am shopping around for a magnet strap. I would give it a 3.5 stars. It would have been a 4.5 stars if the magnet was stronger. All in all if the magnet isn’t important for you, it’s a great range finder for the price! I’d recommend. ... show more

My previous rangefinder was a generic one that seemed pretty cheap, and may have been 5 years old. It was slow to lock (like 3 seconds at least) of holding breath, and ran on those weird little batteries. 1. Construction: Smaller than I expected, and more solid construction. Nice cover for the charging port. 2. Battery life: I've played 5 rounds so far and never have charged it. THERE IS A BATTERY METER (suprprised no one mentioned this) and its still on full. charges with usb-c 3. Locks on better than I expected. Ive figured out that the laser basically lines up to the left side of the "center" mark. Once you figure that out, it makes it easier to lock onto pins. It might take me few tries to lock onto a pin, but each try takes about 1 second, so its kind of ideal to me. Basically you can tell right away whether you hit the pin or not. Importantly I dont have to hold my breath and focus like im shooting a sniper rifle to lock onto far targets. Ive been locking onto targets of all kinds of distances (~300) reliably. 4.accuracy: If you shoot the same pin a few times in a row you get a variation of about plus or minus 1.5 i would say. A decent rangefinder that was accurate. The small size is nice as it can fit in a pocket, but it's almost too small. I have bigger hands so it wasn't ideal for me. The biggest issue is the weak magnet. While on the golf cart it would move around. Although it never fell off, I was worried it would.
