One of my favorite travel tea sets. The size is as expected as an Asian Gong Fu tea set. It is not a western style tea set, and therefore, it is small, and is never meant to be larger than for a couple of pours. The last photo shows the size of the pour with another light green tea pot that I own. You can compare the size based on that. It is very similar in size with an average Chinese gong fu tea pot. I like that this set is small, and can be used with the existing tea strainer. It is also very complementary for my existing set, as I can use this set as an extra pour for straining tea, and use it for a larger tea procession and ceremony. I also really like the quality of the set. And the wood part for the pot easily pulls out for washing. Made well, and for the price of $18.89, it is definitely better than the ones that are similar to the other sets online for $50+. Overall, it is an amazing size, carries in one hand, and compact enough to fit into the delivered case. Will update after a few road trips and whether it lasts longer than 6-months. If no updates, then it means it lasted (lol). Update: after a week of owning this item, I liked it so much, I bought another set for my friend, as a gift. I bought this with another set to decide between the two and absolutely couldn't part with this one. Pros: - Filter is fine mesh metal, not the ceramic big holed filters that often come with these - wooden bit prevents burning finger tips - filter has plenty of lip to grab and not get burned - lid flips over to sit filter in after steeping - sturdy little set and cute carry pack Cons - it is 150ml NOT 200ml. All that being said, usually the tea in China i served in this smaller teaware, so this isn't a "toy set" it is actually used (and I plan to use it regularly). If you love the ritual of Chinese tea but want a nice little tea for one set, this is a great buy! ... show more

Definitely travel-size. It's beautiful and comes as pictured. Recipient loves it! Personally, I feel the cups are a bit small depending on how much tea you expect to drink, but if you're a sipper it may be good. Had to play around with it to figure out how to pour without spilling. The filter comes out so cleaning is a breeze. We sampled tea as a group using this and it was surprisingly perfect. However, if serving more than two people, this will not pour each person more than maybe an ounce. Best for sampling or individual use, not really for sharing. ... show more

It has enough room to also include a small amount of tea in the pack with it, so all I need to bring along is a thermos of hot water. The media could not be loaded. The item is much smaller than I initially expected and it only holds about half a cup of water at a time. Nevertheless, I was more or less on notice about that before purchasing and the size is something I can live with. What ended up being a real issue for me, however, is the functionality of the lid. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to form a proper seal or stay in place securely. Every time I try to pour tea, it leaks from various spots, which defeats the purpose of having a lid at all. And even without the lid, as I pour tea, the tea gets everywhere, despite the small spout, which is supposed to aid pouring. This makes for a rather messy and inconvenient experience overall, especially given the item’s already limited capacity. ... show more

This is a lovely travel tea set for drinking tea in traditional gong fu style. Sturdy and packs well for travel, but also wonderful for regular use at home. The wooden handle is good heat protection for you hands in pouring the tea. This is a great addition to my tea set collection.
