I bought this after my main 40gal gas water heater broke down. I decided to give an electric water heater a chance. I started with a 2gal electric unit from another brand and it worked good, but being 2 gal only we had to take short showers. I decided to increase to this 4gal unit and is working good so far and we get a decent amount of time to take a hot shower. If you need more shower time, then you could go with 6gal. Our water heater is so far away from the kitchen, it takes 10 minutes of running water before it warms up. I have limited space under sink and this was the only heater that would work. Installation was super easy.

I chose this water heater to use under the sink of our home's outdoor kitchen. We have always had cold water running to that sink, but never hot water - until now! Electrical wiring was already existing, so that part was a breeze. Hooking up the hot water line to the faucet at the sink was just as easy. The media could not be loaded. This is a very easy-to-install, lightweight hot water heater sporting a 2.5-gallon water capacity. My unit has some cosmetic problems and color distortion on the side, but the structural integrity of the heater is okay. The wiring comes ready to plug into a three-prong wall receptacle. This is an excellent unit for compact spaces and a good value. I have installed it in the bathroom of my cabin, where there is no hot water tank. I have yet to try the booster configuration option, but knowing that I can tinker with it in the future is a nice selling feature. We have a very long run from our water heater to our kitchen sink. All together it takes about a 2 minutes to get hot water. A lot of the tankless options require a lot of power (240v) however tanked version is 120v which would require the least amount of electrical work! So that’s a big plus for this unit. The overall quality of the unit is very good. Very nice components and it even comes with a full sized PRV. This is a MUST have that some smaller units don’t have. That really makes this unit stand out. Installation is very easy and the operation is perfect! We have it dialed back so it will be safe for our kids to wash their hands. No more wasting quarts of water waiting for the water to heat up. We set this up in a food truck and all we needed was a water hose and a regular outlet for instanf hot water. If you don't have a water source you can also use a water pump and reservoir for the same effect. 4 gallons will give a bit of hot water too. Sink full of dishes or 2 adult showers. Good single point water heater but may also be used in-line as a booster to a larger hot water heater where the hot water takes too long to get from the main heater, and you don't want to rewire the building for a real tankless type, or when you have a sink-only room and have no other source of hot water. 1/2" male NPT connector, corded plug into 120V outlet.
