I love this little wheel! You can vary the speed and switch the way it turns from clockwise to counterclockwise. It takes a while to get used to. I had better luck after watching some videos on throwing mini pottery, because it is very different from using a bigger wheel.

This is really small. Its cute as can be. The instructions are almost nonexistent but watching tutorial videos help. I got this for daughter to start out. It is good for kids. It is much better in quality and price than the ones that come in the kids/teen craft boxes at the craft store.

Learning to develop pottery making skills

I had understood this to be a beginner’s kit and wanted to love it, but after opening it and reading the instructions I’m left wondering what the heck am I supposed to do? I did some pottery in high school 20 years ago and am generally a crafty-intelligent person, but it doesn’t tell you how to actually make something. I’ll have to watch some YouTube videos to figure it out as I’d like to do it right the first try. Aside from that, the instructions are typical of what you get from an international company; just read the first sentence on my third picture where it’s zoomed in on the guy in the background. My second picture—- how are you supposed to even read that? It’s the exact same text on both sides of the paper. It’s like they meant to put another language on one side and didn’t. If you know what you’re doing already and this is something to teach kids, go for it if you think it’s a fair value. If you don’t know what you’re doing, it’s a gamble. Be prepared to spend more time researching the how-to. It does power on, though the cord is not long at all.
