Small in size (just 10.5-inch wide X 9.5-inch high) it's definitely not my grandmas sewing machine but, I actually like it because it is so small and, therefore it is very portable and easily stored in a drawer or cabinet. Not everyone wants, or even needs, a machine that will do multiple fancy stitches or, do embroidery. I personally just want a machine for basic mending (tired of stitching my hand) and perhaps a little light upholstery again. While all I need is basic straight stiches and, perhaps a stitch for keeping fabric from unraveling, this does have a total of 16 basic stitching patters including buttonhole and two needle sewing. The included instructions are very basic and, a beginner will need additional instruction to set up from an experienced person or perhaps You tube videos. If you are willing to spend the time, you should be able to do what you need to do with this sewing machine. Also included are the basic dual needle accessories, a buttonhole foot and 16 thread spools with 16 extra prewound bobbins for easy replacement of colors There is a switch on the front to select OFF, low and high speed. If you select LOW/HIGH the machine will run, and it must be cycled OFF to stop. To use the included SINGLE SPEED foot pedal, the switch must be selected to OFF and then you can depress the foot pedal to run the machine. Pros. -- A very good basic machine that is excellent for the new user or, for light duty sewing needs. -- Very quiet and will actually sew through 4 layers of denim so, this should work well for light duty upholstery. -- Includes everything you might need to get started. -- Includes a built-in small ""free ARM" which is good for cuffs and hems Neutral -- Depending on one's needs, this is VERY small machine which for more advanced users might not fit their needs -- The pedal is very small and only has one speed. -- While including a variety of items to start out, it would be nice to include a box top to contain them -- Small size made it a bit difficult to thread the needle due to my big hands Overall, I am very impressed with this machine and, it does fit my personal needs.

The media could not be loaded. That review video became quite long so I'll finish it here. I LOVE this machine!!! Not only is it the cutest color and shape... it's so easy to use. So, once you plug it in, be sure to plug in the foot peddle as well. If you don't the machine will start sewing as soon as you turn it on. Which brings me to the next thing: the [Off/L/H] is not the stitch length as I thought but the power switch from off to low then high. The foot peddle is quite smaller than I was used to, but it was easy to acclimate. The smooth operation ensures consistent stitching, making it a pleasure to use. This is mostly for a beginner sewist or someone looking for a sewing machine or a budget. Its compact size makes it perfect for small projects or travel. The quality craftsmanship is evident in every detail, inspiring confidence in its longevity. This mini sewing machine is a fantastic tool for anyone looking to explore their creative side.

This seems like a good beginner sewing machine. I like that it comes with all the starter accessories. It seems like something more for light use than a machine you would do heavy sewing on. If you're planning on using it for major sewing projects I'd stick with the name brands.

I'm trying to teach myself to sew. This small machine is perfect for a beginner like myself. It does pretty much everything a larger more expensive machine can do. It's small but it's strong enough to sew through several layers or thick material like denim. It's fairly easy to set up and use.

This sewing machine has strengths and weaknesses appropriate for its price range. It is small and lightweight, excellent for a portable machine. It comes with a full set of threads, bobbins, needles, and other basic gear - especially useful for someone new to sewing. Unfortunately, it feels like low-end construction. I worry that it might have a short service life, since sewing machines have so many moving parts - rapidly moving parts with fine tolerances. And repairs usually cost more than the price of this machine. The motor is quite noisy (although that is common in machines in this price range). Worst of all, it does not sew well. I have decades of experience using a wide range of sewing machines. But I cannot get it to sew evenly, no matter how many adjustments I make to the tension and other controls.

I was so impressed with this machine. It is sturdy, easy to operate and very well made. I am impressed by the housing which gives me confidence that it will last for a long time. In spite of the housing it is not heavy and neither is it too large. It is also light enough in weight to travel with. It is extremely easy to use and would be a great machine for a beginner as well as an experienced seamstress. When I purchase this product I feel I can buy with confidence knowing that I have received an item that is quality and made to last. That's peace of mind.

It’s perfect for a beginner or even someone who doesn’t need a sewing machine on a daily basis, but just for an occasional use. It’s even perfect for kids to learn sewing on. It’s worth the price! Pros: small size, accessories included. Cons: poor quality for the price, instructions are not great. My 10 year old and 8 year old are loving having a sewing machine of their own. For a starter machine, this is perfect, but considering that my own high quality and full size Singer machine cost just a bit more than this one, I would expect this one to come with (at the very least) clearer instructions and be built a bit sturdier.
