Style: With Charging Case (All Phones)
TL;DR: These are some kickass little microphones that are extremely easy to set up, use, store, and charge--excellent value for $40. Recording quality is surprisingly clear for the size and price. They do pick up background noise and are not ideal for loud environments, but still pick up the intended speaker quite well. I noticed that the mic picked up deeper voices better than softer, higher voices, so you may need to adjust your recording with your speaker a little bit to cover that. The microphones could not be easier to set up. You plug in the transmitter to your phone or another USB-C or Lightning port, and it automatically pairs with the microphones, so you don't need to go through the Bluetooth pairing process. Then, you just use it liked a wired microphone. On Android, I just had to switch to "Wired Mic" on my Camera settings before recording. On iPhone, I believe it did so automatically when I had a friend check it for me. I purchased the version with the AirPod style charging case, which I'm very happy with. It clearly indicates the charge level of the case, and the microphones automatically turn on/off when removed from or replaced into the case. The transmitter also fits in there neatly, and both mics and the transmitter magnetically snap into place and stay there; flawless design. The case is about 3' x 3', so it's a little big for your pocket, but definitely small enough for for a small bag to hold it it in. They're super portable and easy to take with you. I was able to get the microphones to work easily at about 20-30 feet range from the transmitter, but didn't try going farther than that. Within that distance though, I had zero issues with connectivity. Overall, I'm extremely happy with that purchase and will be using them for years to come. Bought this to replace a wireless mic that decided it would start cutting out mid use. This product seemed to work fine once we would connect it and test through the voice memo app on iPhone to ensure it was functioning as recommended in limited material with the product. Started fb live and all was well, for a couple uses. This process of connecting then using the mic then began to stop being reliable after a couple of events. After troubleshooting with fb live and the order of connecting the device, we found that if we would start fb live first, then open the case and let the mic connect with the receiver the product worked every time. That is till we weren't testing and was going to use it in a live video. FB live was started and the mic was removed from the case and all the lights turned green as they were supposed to, indicating connectivity. Proceeded with the fb live session and then later discovered there was no sound over the mic, the audio was all through the mic on the phone. I tried to contact tech support before requesting a return but have not heard back from them, a dead-end email address is the only path of communication. The mic was not as expensive as some but cheaper than others and turned out to be a dud. Several reviews were quite glowing but I should have paid more attention to the bad reviews. The product seemed like it was going to be easy to use and turned out to be a headache to ensure it was actually connected and then found out the connection indicators were unreliable. ... show more
