This is a really high quality toy basketball hoop set for my son's bedroom. We've been having a lot of fun with it. Assembly is pretty easy, short of the typography in the instructions being ridiculously small and hard to read for my old eyes, even with glasses. The hardware is made of good quality metal and there are thick foam pads as backers to the backboard, so it fits nice and snug on his door. I think the only 2 minor design flaws are: the hoop folds up, but the end of it sticks above the door frame, so if you mount it on the outside of a door that swings in, so can't have the hoop stored folded up. Not that big a deal. Also, it comes with 4 inflatable balls. What's nice is they are soft enough to play indoors with without worrying about damaging anything, however, it's like a carnival game designed to make you not be able to get the ball into the hoop. It's not easy. The balls are a bit too bouncy and tend to bounce off the backboard without going in the net. Trick seem to be to not over inflate the balls. Keep them smaller. The voice of the electronic backboard is great...but haven't really figured out how the scoring works yet. The on/off switch has 3 positions. The middle is off, while switching to either side turns it on, I haven't figured out the difference between the 2 yet. There's also a dinosaur decoration on the backboard, but there's no other real dinosaur theme to the toy other than that. But overall he likes it and likes playing with it with me.

I was a bit shocked when I opened the packaging and saw how small this basketball hoop set was. It is my fault for not reading the description, but had no idea a basketball set could be so little. See the pics; it is about the size of 2 women's hand across. The backboard and rim are made of decent quality; however, I could not blow up the balls as the air pump included did not have an air needle. I looked in all of the packaging and nada. I have not yet used the set as I just moved to a new house and am trying to figure out the best door to hang it on; so I will update the review later about the actual performance of this unit at a later time.

Got this for a 9 yr old for his birthday, and he absolutely loved it. It lights up, the hoop is on springs to make dunking more realistic, and The balls are just heavy enough to throw without being so heavy they break stuff in his room. He's really been enjoying it, and he and his dad have a running contest every evening now, so that quality time is appreciated by both.
