Playful, and surprisingly tough, this mini drone made my niece squeal with delight. Just as soon as unpacked and first use she and I set it down and it lifted off steady and obedient. The LED lights are very bright and turn heads even in daylight. Controls are very easy so a beginner can take it from wobble to smooth hover in minutes. Altitude hold keeps it circling like it has a mind of its own which is great for indoor flights. Three speed modes mean it grows with your skill instead of being obsolete the first afternoon. Propeller protection is a thoughtful touch and saved us from a dozen little bangs into furniture. The 360° flips are silly but addictive and the kids laughed every time it flipped perfectly. The build feels mostly sturdy but one of the guards is a bit loose out of the box which I tightened with a tiny screwdriver. Packing includes spare props which I wish came in a small labeled bag because I misplaced one. Takeoff and landing are gentle and predictable which gives confidence to nervous pilots. Battery swaps are simple but the runtime is modest so keep the spare charged if you want continuous play. This drone made my son’s birthday! He was so excited! Unfortunately, that turned to disappointment real fast. He was using the drone outside (open area, no wind). The drone apparently left the area that the remote can reach. There is no warning or explanation of how close to keep the drone to you. The drone was no longer able to be controlled by the remote and kept going. We live on six acres and then surrounded by corn fields. We looked for an hour with no luck.
