Just got this in so don't know how long it will last. You can pretty much throw away the instructions as they seem to pertain to some other model with a charger and removable battery. So it came with SOME level of charge and I just decided to goof with it a little. I was looking for a small dremel to use on my electronics bench. I have two big honkin Dremel brand corded rotory tools but wanted something lighter, smaller and more nimble for doing whatever on small electronics and circuit boards. Found this and I figured for 15 bucks I would take a chance. If you use these kinds of tools you know the cutting wheel and sanding drums are a about the biggest drag on these units so I tried the sanding drum that came with it and a cutting wheel off of my big dremels. MUCH to my surprise this lil thing has more than enough torque to use these accessories, but like dremel says: "let the speed do the work", if you bog it down it will shut-down rather than burn up. All my dremel bits work fine, even the three jaw chuck went right on and is going to stay there with a new one ordered for the big dremel I took it off of. The bits that came with it are many and varied but lets just consider them a "starter set" as they are made out of chinesium, but come in a nice enough lil box rather than a plastic bag. It may blow-up tomorrow but so far I'm super happy with it. ... show more

    • Good little rotary tool for small jobs
This is a mini cordless rotary tool is very lightweight and comes with 50 accessories. You won't want to use it on anything too big or demanding. But I will find a thousand uses for it in my studio. I work with glass and pottery, along with makin jewelry, so I can do some light carving, sanding, and many other things I don't want t crank up my heavy duty rotary handset for. This tool has a choice of three speeds and the motor is strong. I can't speak about battery life yet because I haven't had a chance to test it for a long while. It is small, light, and very easy to hold. I especially love that it is cordless, so I can easily maneuver it without a cord getting in my way. The media could not be loaded. Small as it is makes it light and versatile to hold and go where you need to go being battery powered. I got this to help me trim my birds nails and beaks. They really don't like it and I don't blame them it's almost like a dentist drilling on your upper teeth where you hear it all in your ears and loud. It just makes the job to be done quick and easy so they don't k ow what happened afterwards. There are many other things I could use it for but don't want to because of the birds so it is dedicated to them for now. Battery in it does last for a while and doesn't take that long to recharge. We have used this little tool in the field for months! It has held up to any job we've thrown at it. We have to engrave components with identifiers, deburr different things, and enlarge holes in metal and wood. Not one problem, so far, about five months in. Great tool.
