This skateboard requires no assembly and is ready to use right out of the box, which is wonderful if you have an anxious child who is eager to ride! Both my kid and his brothers enjoy skateboarding, but because he is only eight years old, they won't let him use theirs. I bought him this board. Of course, I also purchased elbow & knee protectors as well as a helmet, because riding without them is unsafe. The board has a 9-ply maple deck and measures 31 inches in length. On the top side, the grip tape is applied well, while the underside has a great Minecraft design. The wheels and other components are included, making it ready to ride right out of the box. While learning, you can tighten the wheels to prevent it from rolling too quickly and loosen them as the child becomes better. My 7 year old boy loves two things. Skateboarding and Minecraft so when I was searching around for a perfect gift for his 7th birthday I was so stoked to find this gift. Iv'e been skating for a while so and he just started getting into skateboarding so this was perfect. It's a 31inch board great for beginners and has great balance. The non slip grip tap supports him to stay on his board and be safe. Aluminum trucks, the ABEC-1 bearings perfect size and weight for my son to start with. He is already learning to ride switch and even dropped in a bowl successfully the other day. He loves his gift and the Minecraft graphic is definitely a plus. ... show more
