I bought this because my kiddos like to put their bath toys on the edge of the tub, where it drips down and gets the floor wet. This solves that problem! They can put their wet bath toys on this shelf while they are playing. I read reviews of the plastic ones breaking so I went with wood. Looks better, too. After reading comments that said it had mildewed, I decided to return this. Bamboo is supposed to resist mildew and other wee beasties. But I ended up keeping it because my 5 year old LOVES having it to store all her little toys on while she's bathing. I'm glad I kept it. We're slowly making the move to bamboo products, due to their longevity and anti-microbial-ness. This one was cheaper than all the other options, so I really didn't expect much. But I'm pleasantly surprised! THE GOOD: - no mildew so far - no cracking so far - no splintering so far - stays put really well, given that our tub is flush with a wall and doesn't have much of an 'edge' on that side. THE BAD: No bad, really, other than, sure, I'd have enjoyed a little groove in which to slide a glass of red wine now and then. But I knew it didn't have one going into the purchase. It would just be nice for the cheaper models to offer that. Overall, I like it. For the price, you'll get a nice no-bells-or-whistles bath tray that is quite attractive to boot. ... show more

I added wood glue to all the joints and sprayed with a clear polyurethane before using. It fits my 1960s cast iron tub perfectly and has held up great with now mold growing.

Very narrow. We ended up using it on the side of the tub not across the tub. Cheap and affordable but I should of spent more for a nicer wider one. It’s very basic. Might work better if we added suction cups to the bottom, a coaster glued in for drinks to sit securely and maybe a water proof liner on the tray to keep the phone stable when using kick stand. . Not very stable because it’s so light weight. Again…pay more if you want more. It works but you will need to improve on functionality once you start using it. ... show more
