  • Bad to the bone
I’d always used air impact in the past and couldn’t have imagined a cordless could do a good job with that need. I have either been using hand tools or over using a cordless impact driver for midweight stuff. Already had impact sockets and Milwaukee batteries so decided to give this a try. The handle seemed a little “sticky” at first but I’m sure it’ll be ok. This XC battery gave plenty of power for mower blades but a high output battery is on the way it’ll be dedicated to the impact tool. This has enough power to break lighter application bolts etc.; it’s a serious tool. Little heavy but given what it does and the guts it has,I’m not surprised. ... show more

  • Talk about a nut buster!!
I’m a master automotive tech with over 10 years in the field. I have over $30,000 in tools and this immediately became one of my favorites, and one of the least expensive. This gun is powerful. Using this 3/8” gun, I rarely need my 1/2” air gun anymore. Pulls off Ford lug nuts torqued to 150 ft-lbs. Pulled off Honda axle nuts torqued to 180 ft-lbs with a 3/8” to 1/2” adapter. Pulled off a Subaru crank pulley bolt torqued to 130ft-lbs. Blows my 3/8” Ingersoll air impact out of the water. I frequently use it with long impact extensions, adapters, and impact swivel sockets, which tend to consume a lot of your torqued. I am continually pleased and impressed with how rarely I need a more powerful gun to overcome those torque losses. This gun has been a major portability and productivity improver. I can’t wait to try out the stubby version and Milwaukee’s other brushless power tools. I was a die hard Ingersoll Rand guy my entire career, every air tool I own is IR, going forward they are all getting replaced with Milwaukee brushless tools. I’m sold American. It is heavy with a 5Ah battery, but it’s so powerful and reasonably compact, who cares, just put your purse down and get to work. ... show more

  • High quality typical of Milwaukee tools
So far it has worked well for me. Not the highest torque model but sufficient for many shop and home tasks--tire changes, lawnmower blade removal and so forth. I also used it to loosen the axle on my motorcycle to adjust the chain. That axle bolt had been very difficult to budge even with a very long breaker bar. This impact wrench handled it easily. Seems to be the high quality we have come to expect from Milwaukee tools. I own several of their 18v tools and they all are excellent. ... show more

  • Impressive is all I can say...
This is a quite a tool. Never had a cordless impact before but after watching a lot of videos of a very good heavy equipment field service mechanic using his cordless Milwaukee's on just about every job he went on and doing more research myself, I decided to take the plunge and bought two of these impacts. The big one, the Milwaukee High Torque 1/2 inch impact w/friction ring, will be reviewed separately once I've had a chance to use it and become more familiar with it. This Milwaukee 3/8 inch 2852-20 wrench is the one I've used a few times already and I'm impressed with what it will do. This is the way to go, in my opinion. If you are thinking of purchasing a cordless impact, do it now. You won't regret it. ... show more

  • Love this gun after today
I never thought it had so much power. Came new amd has power. To put it to the test my transmission was out a 4L60E with the 3/8 gun and rebuilt the transmission with the 3/8 and put it back in with the 3/8. I had no problems with it at all. My shop is 1 hour away amd i did not want to tow it there so i thought i would give this a try. Works very well and i will by the 1/2 gun in a few days ... show more

  • Strong 3/8 impact
It's very very strong. I used to have a dewalt rated at 130-150ftlbs. This thing blows that dewalt out of the water. It is bigger. It definitely would not fit, where I could stick my dewalt. I should of gotten the lower model than this. I really didn't need all this power. It's heavier than the lower model too. It does have a ton of power though. ... show more

  • For a 3/8 it’s great
I’ve had this for a two years or more, but this item works it’s wonders. I’ve used it on lug nuts with a 3/8ths to 1/2” adapter, and many other 1/2” sizes and jobs. For its size it’s done it’s job and I’ve very HAPPY with this tool.

  • Don’t pass this gun up!
I am quite satisfied with this gun, I previously owned a Milwaukee 3/8 impact from 2013 that wasn’t brushless. It performed very well but it was getting very tired and I finally did it in by accidentally running it over with a fork truck. The newer brushless FUEL gun has a buttload more power, I highly recommend this gun.👌 ... show more
