This is my absolutely favorite circular saw. It's lightweight , relatively quiet and the best part is you can attach shop vac to it for mess free cutting. That's a beautiful thing! I teach women how to use power tools and had an m18 circular saw . The m12 made it sooo much easier for older women to handle. Well worth the money. But keep in mind saws need a lot of power so you need a larger battery, especially if cutting pressure treated pine. The 3.0 battery doesnt have enough kick to cut through pt pine but a 5.0 does. ... show more

Have used this a few times now for projects and been very happy with it. Cuts through 2x4s no problem. 4x4s are a bit of a challenge, mostly because of the blade size, requires multiple cuts - but has enough power to do so. For a daily use / contractor tool, id spend more on a circular with a bigger blade and more guts, but for occasional quick cuts for projects around the house, very happy with it. This is a nice saw! Compact, super light and plenty of power. Had to return for intermittently shutting off. I've had the same issue with other cordless tools so not a big deal. Will purchase again.

Compact, lightweight, and it works with the M12 system I've been using for years! Plenty of power for cutting what I need, and the built in hook frees up my hands and work area. TTI has respected the reputation of the Milwaukee brand and has not cut corners and made it cheap garbage!
