I’ve been using this high quality battery for only a short time but I love that it’s not any bigger than my 3 ah battery. Takes the same time to charge too. It’s only a few ounces more than the standard battery so you don’t hardly notice any increase in weight when using.

Not a fake. Really Milwaukee, so I don't anticipate need the warranty. Even if it fails early I could buy two more and still save money for what I paid.

Just received my pair of these 5.0 HO M12 batteries yesterday (May 6th '25). Sold by JB tools (a company I am familiar with and have purchased directly from in the past as well as on Amz), but shipped by Amazon. JB was listing for a Lincoln less, but is perpetually OOS. This was still of a bit of a gamble, in my opinion, as I always suspect that when there are dozens of sellers in the Amz Marketplace that essentially Amz is pulling stock from the same old bins, regardless of who is the "seller" purportedly is, and that fake / counterfeit "returns" often replace the originals when returned. Came in original packaging (hard plastic shell with plastic "heat spot welds" holding it together, indicating made in China by Milwaukee). Packaging looked legit (no misprints, mis-spellings, etc). T10H torx security screws - check. Batteries themselves looked legit / not fake or counterfeit, with proper labeling and durable material. On the bottom, just above the stick-on label, was imprinted a manufacture date (X-mas '24, actually), as well as a serial number at the very end. The two batteries' serial numbers were 8 digits apart from each other (...598, ...606), so I am comfortable saying they came from the same run, on the same day, and likely came out of the same box. Charged up fully in about an hour to an hour and a half, so par expected charge time for their amperage for my charger (my 4AH M12's are a bit faster). I may eventually pull the covers off to verify the Samsung battery cells, but so far I'm ok concluding they're legit. If anything changes, I'll update later.

I didn't realize how much I was being held back by the standard M12 batteries that came with my powerdrill. I was using the same battery for all my M12 tools, and would often run out of power quickly, and would stall out due to lack of power when using things like a cut off tool. Once I bought this bad boy and popped it into my cut off tool, it was like a new tool altogether. It lasted forever, and never shut off once due to needing more power. I should have gotten this a long time ago!

The stickers and plastic are pretty close. I checked the weight and it was close within a gram. The blister pack was different from the one I got from home depot so that is my only concern. Have yet to test it so I can not give it 5 stars yet.
