  • Put your corded saw away!
I purchased this saw for working on stuff around the house. I use it for cutting down 4' x 8' sheets and then I finish to size on my table saw. I have Milwaukee M12 batteries for my mechanic tools, so this was the easy choice to stay with that platform. So nice not to have to drag out my big circular saw and try to keep the cord out of the way. The saw is very well made but still light weight. All of the adjustments are easy to get to and work as you would expect. The saw takes a 5-3/8" diameter blade. There is an Allen wrench in the handle to change the blade with, and there is a spindle lock button to lock the shaft. The blade is on the left side of the saw which I prefer. I cut using my right hand and I can easily see the cut line and blade path. It takes all the M12 batteries including the smaller 2ah packs. The saw still cuts 1/4" paneling, Masonite, underlayment with them just fine. The saw has a blade brake that stops the saw very quickly when you let off the trigger, which is a nice safety feature. It also has a wide safety interlock thumb switch that is not too bad to use either. The thing that surprised me the most was how quiet the saw is. I have no problem using it outside early in the morning. The saw cuts like a dream and works well against a panel guide. I do wish it came with a rip guide. It has a place for it and a clamp knob, but no guide... A guide is available for purchase around $10 (Part# 49-22-2530), but it would have been nice it i was included with the base saw. That's the only disappointment. Other than that, it is the perfect saw for quick panel and 2x4 cuts. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • It met my expectation's.
My Milwaukee 2530-20 M12 Fuel 5-3/8" Circular Saw met my expectations. It is easier to control because of its small size, but yet more powerful then my other 20v cordless circular saw. I use my framing/speed square to guide my cuts and because the blade is on the left side of the saw it makes it easier for me to see my line. It is well made and the up and down adjustments are smooth to work with. And the angle adjustment is accurate. The 5 3/8" blade is plenty big for most of the stuff I need to cut, I work with a lot of 3/4" Birtch plywood. Milwaukees M12 Fuel tools are all impressive, especially for their size. I still have bigger power tools for bigger projects but my goto power tools are my M12 Fuel tools and my new M12 Fuel circular saw is now my goto circular saw. This circular saw is nice to use when I don't feel like pulling out my big Miter Saw just for a quick cut. I do recommend this Milwaukee 2530-20 M12 Fuel circular saw. ... show more

  • Very Handy, Little Circular Saw
For decades, I have had an old Skilsaw worm drive. It's big, it's heavy, it's corded but, OMG, what a great saw. My backup saw is a 6 1/2 inch Skilsaw sidewinder. I bought this little cordless Milwaukee circular saw to keep in the van just in case. In one week, I have already used it twice--once to cut lumber that just didn't quite fit in the van and once to fix a friend's fence. I replaced the blade when I bought it with 36-tooth Diablo blade. I've ripped hardwood with it no problem. another thing I like it that the blade is on the left side like my worm drive so I can see what I'm cutting. My old, POS 6 1/2 inch, corded sidewinder Skilsaw, which was my first circular saw and was beat up when I bought it used and is now suffering from dementia, is now relegated to the neighbor loaner bin. ... show more

  • This is a very good tool
I really like this little saw. It is very light weight, easy to use. It will not replace my corded saw for all jobs. But for some tasks, it is just perfect. I used it to cut boards for a long fence. We do not have electric lines installed yet at our site, we struggle with generators. This saw allowed me to get right to work. I got some big batteries for it. I could work all day without running out of charge. Buy it now! ... show more

  • Works but Worx corded definitely more powerful
I have a 4 1/2 Worx corded circular saw & figured I'd try this Milwaukee battery saw. It definitely not as powerful but just going easy it does the job.

  • Five stars ⭐️ for Milwaukee 5-3/8 circular saw
New Milwaukee 2530-20 M12 Fuel 5-3/8" Circular Saw I'm declaring this a good purchase. Using one of my new 3 amp batteries I made 24 crosscuts on 1x6 and 20 crosscuts of 2x2. It cuts like butter and never bogs down. I used 2 out of 4 lights so only 1/2 the battery. I bought it for that every once in a while cut so I am not going to buy a bigger battery. I have a 7-1/4” Milwaukee corder saw for any heavy jobs that I don’t mind taking the setup time for. This little guy is going to be awesome for many things. ... show more

  • Beat my Bosch 18V
I was worried about the reviews saying this thing is underpowered but I was able to cross cut a 1.5" thick by 30" deep oak butcherblock top. The Bosch 18v brushed cordless made it a quarter way through with a 4 AH battery and a fine finish blade. I threw a 6 AH m12 battery and the framing blade it came with and it cut through it with ease. no burn marks either and it's quitter. ... show more
