    • The OUTSTANDING middle ground between 2401-20 and 2402-20
I work in a data center. A lot of the work that I do requires more control over torque. So, for me, Milwaukee is a bit strange when it comes to their cordless screwdrivers. They seem to be either FAST but too strong or too slow. This one is JUST RIGHT. I originally bought 2402-20. It's a fantastic cordless screwdriver. It's VERY fast. But, even on the lowest clutch setting, it also has far too much torque for anything that shouldn't be torqued down. I then picked up 2401-20 to try to solve that issue. It yields less torque so it works pretty well. However... It's PAINFULLY slow at a max of 500 RPM. Removing lots of screws from decommissioned racks with it is just a horrible exercise in tedium. Don't get me wrong. It's a great little driver if you have patience and time. But these are two things that I personally - frequently - lack. 😅 Really don't know how long 2406-20 has been available... And I wonder how I haven't seen it sooner as it appears to have been available long enough that my searches should have revealed it's existence to me. But I finally came across this driver earlier this week. The stats really bridged the gap between the aforementioned models. It does a great job of that by including a transmission shifter with two speed settings. ("1" and "2".) "1" is slower but provides a great deal more torque. "2" is much faster and is lighter on the torque. PERFECT. This solves my problem. I now have two M12 Red Lithium High Output CP2.5 Battery Packs (48-11-2425) on the way for this driver. The ONLY complaint that I have is the heft. It's extremely top-heavy. But this is the case with all three of these models. It can be balanced with using the larger M12 XC3.0 (or higher) batteries. But with as expensive as tool batteries are... I'm not sure it's worth the investment just to mitigate that problem. (Not to mention the L-shape of those larger M12 batteries would cause more chaos in my tool pack.) All in all... Outstanding work on this one, Milwaukee. ... show more

    • Great drill to use & take everywhere.
I love Milwaukee tools. This is a great little drill motor to have in your Every day Carry bag or running around a job site. It has good power for many applications. Battery life is ok/expected for a 12v. Perfect for a lot of small jobs. (Not drilling in to wood & cement all day) I wish it was a little lighter & more compact with a better pocket/belt clip position and led lighting like the dewalt 12v drills. But that’s the difference, you sacrifice size for power. The Dewalt 12v drill is lighter/more compact, better belt clip position and all around 3 led lights. The Milwaukee 12v is heavier, a little awkward to carry, 1 led light, but , it has more Power & strength which is what I need/use it for. At the end of the day I am happy I have this drill that I use for 99% of the jobs I do. (I purchased a used like new tool that works great, delivery was fast and the quality is what it is, a good quality Milwaukee tool ) ... show more
