I bought it because I needed a 6ft sturdy bar that could handle a good amount of weight and it functions perfectly for my hip thrust and deadlift exercises. This is one of the best bang for buck barbells I found. After doing a ton of research, I was really impressed with the specs of the Mikolo 7ft olympic barbell. However, after receiving it, I'm even more impressed. First off - the matte black is just sweet in person and the knurling on this bar is aggressive but not so much so that it hurts when squatting or having a ton of weight on the bar. I'm by no means loading this thing up to the max but it has held up plenty fine with ~300+ lbs on it when squatting or deadlifting.

Mikolo has become my go to with barbells. I now have two. I have the black and red one and now this all black version. The bars are rated at 1500lbs. I’m not sure they can handle that but it feels like they could. You can feel the quality in these bars. The bearings are smooth and the appearance of the bar is that of quality. For the money, it’s hard to believe they are this nice. The knurling is perfect. I hate highly knurled bars. This bar is perfect.

My Mikolo Barbell arrived today, upon which I promptly unboxed and used with my Mikolo F4 Power Rack system. I was excited to add this bar to my home gym, and my expectations are more than met. Here's what I like: First, the barbell was packed with care, in a stout carton nestled in styrofoam, and arrived in flawless condition. Second, the fit and finish of this olympic bar is superb, as is the function. Bearings roll easily, and the knurled grip is outstanding. My first workout confirmed the superior value and utility of this piece of equipment. Finally, the low Amazon price of the barbell is simply amazing, given its quality. I shopped around extensively before settling on this purchase, and believe it offers the best value by far of any 7 foot olympic bar currently available. Recommended with confidence and enthusiasm.

First, this is an awesome bar. It's SOLID and feels heavier than other 45lb bars. Received it yesterday and it went on the rack for today's workout. It looks fantastic and the sleeves rotate easily. this is in me for not paying attention butthere is no center knurling. With a small, budget oriented gym, I don't have space or budget to have multiple bars. This was a splurge for me to reward myself for hitting a goal. I fixed it with some grip tape so it has some traction that seemed to work. Also, there isn't much wiggle room with the j-hioks on a 4 foot wide rack. You have to be within 2" of center or so to re rack the bar. Something to keep in mind if you are doing lifts to the point of fatigue.

Certainly was questioning what I would get with this bar. Was expecting something weak and unable to last. Ive been using it for the past month while on a road trip and it's been great. Fits in the back of my truck bed easily. Knurling is high quality and the bar spins like a $400 bar. Love the compact size, without losing the width for only lifts. Perfect for my life on the road.
