The media could not be loaded. I managed to find these thru the Amazon resale warehouse at a great deal… at the warehouse price, I’d absolutely buy them again, but not for the regular price. If you’re not familiar with Mikasa then you may find these to be just fine. But if you’re a little older, you know Mikasa is synonymous for quality. These candles just don’t have the quality that I have come to know from this brand. That said, they’ll work for my lanterns this fall, and the remote works well….sometimes I need to press the button twice to get them all to turn off (or on) but not a dealbreaker. 🤷🏼♀️💁🏼♀️ ... show more

I rarely write reviews, but these were just too bad not to and I'm hoping I can save someone else the frustration of having to return these. I ordered three sets of the Mikasa Set of 3 3x4, 3x5, 3x6 Real Wax Wavy Top Flameless Candles, Led Candles with Remote. The only good thing about these candles is that they are real wax and are actually white like the description states. For being the Mikasa brand, and paying nearly $75 for 3 sets of these, I expected far more than a dollar store quality candle. Horrible!! VERY Poor Product Quality: Firstly, some of the candles I received have very jagged wax on the top that looks sloppy and not smooth. I'm sure some very low grit sandpaper would make them look better, but I expect new candles to look great out of the box. They shouldn't need any repairing. Secondly, the plastic housing (where the batteries go) on many of the candles is glued in crooked. I attempted to straighten them out, but the wax broke off. Also, some candles have big globs of glue slopped onto the battery housing. Because the plastic housing is glued in so haphazardly, the candles are unable to sit straight. Inaccurate Description: I purchased these specific candles because the description states AND the seller's photo shows that the remote has a timer function. IT DOES NOT. This remote simply has an "on/off" function, so if you're thinking you're getting what this seller is describing, you won't. **I was unable to contact this seller directly, but I was able to reach a rep from Amazon. I love the Mikasa name. Every product I've purchased with their name on it was premium and had a great feel to it. These candles are no exception. I put these around the house and used them as accents in the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and dining room. I nearly never used the remote and just found it easier to turn the candles on manually. The candles look realistic, but I was surprised that when lit they vary in shades of orange. I was looking for more yellow so I was disappointed. Remote works, as sometimes these things come broken.

Mikasa is known for its quality flatware and dishes. This is my first experience with their flameless candles and they don't seem to be of the same high quality as the former. The real wax is thin, true white, and offers soft, warm illumination when the two AA batteries (not included) are installed and the candles are on. There is a manual switch on the bottom of each candle that needs to be engaged for the remote to work, and you must remove the plastic tab from the remote for the battery to engage inside of it prior to use. The wick is stationary and oddly about 3" deep inside the candle, which makes its slightly odd-shaped wick not visible unless you stand over it. The edges of the candle are curved and not uniform, which I actually liked. Because they are made of wax, you do get a waxy feel on your hands when moving them and they can (theoretically) melt if near a heat source, so be careful with your placement. The reason I selected this product to review for Amazon Vine was the uniqueness of the timed remote. Unfortunately, the product I received, which visually seems to be the same product as advertised, came with a simple on/off remote. No special functions or features. I don't know if this would be different from the product you receive, but since Vine reviewers always (again, in theory) receive the product that you will receive, you too may be disappointed in a simple remote without a timer function. This was the main reason for my selection of this product so honestly, that may color my view on this product more than if it had come with the remote I expected and could function as expected on a timer. I have other flameless candles from other brands. These Mikasa-branded flameless candles are not bad, but they are not as expected. The flicker effect cannot be turned off for a steady color, you can't set a timer, and there is only one color choice (warm white) with a flicker. The remote is not what was promised so this is really a very basic 3-candle set. (They also offer a set with more candles and an on/off remote.) I would suggest if you are considering this set to recognize its limited features and compare the set to others in terms of price and features, to make sure you get what you truly want in a flameless candle set. ... show more
