Not luxury quality
I was really excited for these until they arrived. The style is very nice however, the glass had a look and feel of cheap. Returned them.

Extremely practical and well made
When I first opened the box and held these, I was initially disappointed. They feel very fragile and thin and I initially thought they were poor quality. I was wrong, while these are really thin in construction, they are actually really durable and shatter proof. I managed to prove this, unfortunately, by promptly dropping one on my linoleum floor while peeling the stickers off. It bounced and landed in one piece. These are not poorly constructed or "cheap feeling" at all. They actually look really nice, the design of them looks very special and pleasant. I like that they are large enough to serve just about any drink in them, perfect for a big glass of milk with cookies. They actually more than paid for themselves during all of the holiday madness at my house.

Lightweight Glasses
The Mikasa glasses are pretty good. They feel like light glass, but they're plastic. They almost feel too light. They have attractive ridges and a solid base. They're dishwasher safe and easy to store. These would be a good glass for dorm life or travel. I prefer a more substantial glass, but I appreciate the ease of these glasses for using out on the patio. I don't know how fragile they are, but they seem like they would crack or shatter if I were to drop one on my kitchen tile. ~ Kort

Cheap thin glass
This was poorly packaged. One came shattered in the packaging, so it wasn't packaged properly. But when the second one broke, I understood what was going on. This bumped into one of the other glasses without great force and sitting on a counter top. They both shattered. One burst. The other just dissolved. The final one was tipped over by the cat. Not onto the floor or anything, but tipped over on the counter and shattered. Very low quality glass. Lots of cleaning up to do. They didn't last at all. I only drink from glass or ceramics. I have glasses that have hit the floor and was not chipped or cracked and this can't handle being tipped sideways. What a mess.

Classic Style from a Trusted Brand
Mikasa is a brand I am very familiar with from my days of an after-school job working in the home goods section of a big department store. This was a brand everyone loved. Before I even took them out of the box, I was impressed by how carefully they were packaged. Individual cardboard wrappers and bubble wrap, each glass in its own little cocoon. Very nice, indeed. The glasses themselves are a classic ribbed style. I did not get them for serving highballs or mixed drinks, simply to use as drinking glasses. They feel a bit thin, as others have noted, but hopefully, they will hold up well to daily use. Super pleased with these glasses from a trusted brand.

Great Looking But Super Thin
I'm a big fan of Mikasa dinnerware and trying out different drinking glass sets. These are very nice looking 18 oz capacity glasses with texture that matches our existing glasses. The clarity of the glass is crystal clear and good quality. However these are extremely thin and feel very brittle. My fear is they will easily break just from washing them. Although it hasn't happened yet, that is a huge concern. I have other expensive drinking glasses that have broke simply from using it to catch ice from our refrigerator ice dispenser and these glasses are much thinner, so I will definitely not be using these with our ice dispenser. I am also very sketchy about hand washing these because I am terrified of having them break while washing because I have cut my hands very badly and required stitches on broken drinking glasses before.
