We have three of these beds. We use two in dog crates and the other in our suv.. The beds are thick, comfortable and dont slide around like many other dog beds that are designed for crates. The dog beds that we had previously for our crates were generally on top of the dog when we arrived at home but these beds have always stayed in place so the dog remains comfortable. We have a 14yo Golden Retriever who weighs about 75lbs. When we got him at age 5, we purchased a basic bed like this from PetSmart for around $80-$90 . It was absurdly ridiculous but they didn’t have many styles and we needed one to put in the back of the SUV for trips to vet or family trips a few hours away. It was a similar style both inside and out though slightly smaller. Also washable, etc.. Well one day a few months ago, we found 3 Frenchies running around in our neighborhood so we picked them up. They stunk so badly on our 20 minute trip to the city lost/foubd dogs that we decided - nope! Our guy needs a new bed. Just throw that thing away. A few months went by and I with an upcoming vet visit, I remembered we needed a new bed/cushion for the back our SUV. Decided on this one, got it promptly and let me tell you… it is sooo much nicer than the previous more expensive one and half the price as the one from the big box pet store from 9 years ago. It is bigger, plusher and thicker. I do admit it hasn’t been washed so I can’t attest to how it stands up after washing, but the item does come in a box with the mattress separated from the case so I could tell right away that the quality is superior. I do recommend taking the foam mattress out and letting it breathe for a day or two before use. There was no chemical smell or anything that would deter me from buying this again. I would not recommend this as a daily bed, esp for a senior dog with arthritis and the aches and pains of age. You need more support/thickness/etc. If you have a younger pup or casual user - I highly recommend for this price point. ... show more

My dog absolutely loves this dog bed. After purchasing and going through numerous dog beds this one has met all of our needs. Pros: This dog bed comes with a very comfortable, foam mattress that holds its shape over time. Other dog beds we have purchased in the past lose their padding and shape after a few months of use by my 90 pound dog, but this one has remained the same since the day we bought it. The material of the lining of the dog bed is waterproof which protects the foam mattress and is easy to unzip and wash. Cons: The dog bed is machine washable; however, takes a while to fully dry. The foam mattress fits very snuggly into the lining and takes some effort to put back together after washing. For size comparison, my dog is a 90 pound German Sheppard and fits perfectly on this dog bed. I would recommend this dog bed to anyone with a large dog that wants an affordable dog bed that holds its shape/padding over time! ... show more

Got this bed for a puppy to put in their kennel. It fits perfectly. It is a nice thickness so that the trayless kennel doesn't push through on the puppy joints. Looks waterproof. Has no smell. I like that the cover can come off to wash. The price was fabulous (got it on sale) and it was delivered quickly. She's a Great Dane and it is hard to find a dog bed that can handle their weight long term. I'm looking forward to seeing how well this one does. Will order a larger size when she outgrows her current kennel. ... show more

Fair quality for the price, but disappointed in the size. I bought this specific bed because of the 36” x 23” dimensions. The packaging it came in said 35”, but the bed itself is 34” x 22” after fully setting up.

This is my second time buying these beds for my dog's crates - they seem very comfortable and they hold up well washing. The only reason I have needed to get new ones is due to the dogs digging/making a hole in the cover and also just over time I think the beds get a tad smelly from smelly dogs! But not too expensive that you can't get one every year or so. ... show more
