This is a great little welde. Really didn't expect it to work very well considering it's price and size but I was pleasantly surprised how well this works. It's extremely compact size and light weight make it the ideal trail side welder .good enough to weld most things strong enough to get ya home. Only thing is the wire feed speed isn't adjustable and it's rather slow but it gets the job done . Wouldn't get as my main welder but as a portable welder u can't go wrong

The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a compact MIG unit for my shop where we occasionally have a welding need. Most of our work is done by 3D printing these days, but a small unit that doesn't take up much space is always welcome. This is a nice compact unit that seems well made. The instructions lack any specifications about loading the wire and setting the machine up properly. If you've never used a MIG welder before, you're going to need to do some YouTube'ing for instructions. I also would have liked a small spool of wire to be included so I could begin using it right away, but it does not come with any. Make sure to have proper welding glasses/helmet before you get to work!!!

I haven't welded in YEARS but I live in a very rural area in the Okanogan Highlands of WA State, and with a farm, there's always SOME small repair or another that needs to be done. While I do have friends who are happy to give me a hand, it's a hassle to coordinate them out here and I'm stubbornly independent enough to prefer to do it myself. Enter this unit. Compared to the welding machine I learned on decades ago, this thing looks and feels like a UFO, and turning to the manual wasn't any help at all. It's like someone played a game of telephone with online translation software from about 2010. Fortunately, the machine itself is WAY better than it's manual! I turned to an experienced welder for help, and he's very impressed with it! Says it's a great machine for occasional use, and after a couple of sessions with his guidance, I agree. It's simple to set up, easy to use, and actually works well at my elevation. It's also nice to have a machine that runs off of household current instead of needing a higher volt connection AND doesn't take up a huge amount of space when it's not in use.

I have not welded since shop in high school, and that was a stick welder, so this is my first experience with a mig welder. Can it perform basic welding tasks around the house? I'm not sure yet since I am just trying to find my technique right now, but I have no doubts that it can. I was able to weld through some sheet metal, which was probably only 1/8" thick, but I also was running it at like 40 amps. I am excited to learn how to weld and start building/modifying things around the house. And who knows, if AI takes over my current profession, it would be nice to have knowledge and experience for a trade it cannot do.

I was surprised how small the box was when it arrived. Very lightweight and starter model hence the price. Great for a homeowner with smaller type products that will pay for itself rather than paying someone to repair or simple throw out damaged items. I got this for my dad to use for little projects on the farm. He thinks it’s a handy welder, not super powerful but good for smaller jobs. It’s not a high dollar machine so you get what you pay for but for the price point it’s definitely worth it to keep on hand.
