I didn't realize our tiny Siamese-mix kitten was going to grow into a 15-lb., 28" long (not counting tail, and still growing) cat. Most standard scratching posts top out at about 30". We realized this wasn't going to be enough to let the big guy stretch properly when he started going after the backs of the 35" high counter-height dining chairs and sofa. This scratching post has been the salvation of our furniture. Not only is it tall enough, this heavy-duty post is sturdy enough that the heavy-duty cat can get a running start and go for a good climb. Both of our cats seem to enjoy using it daily, and the rope isn't showing noticable wear yet. Assembly was very simple, with only four parts to screw together, no special tools required. The base is just large enough to give it decent stability. I can see the post rock a little when the cat is particularly aggressive, but it won't overturn and the cat certainly isn't deterred from climbing to the top. As cat furniture goes, it's about averagely attractive - I could wish for more colors or darker rope, but this is the only post I could find that was both long enough and reasonably priced, short of investing in the equipment to make my own.

My cat loves this scratching post. So much so, that he wore out the first one he received as a gift. When I say wore out…the product is great but the sisal is going to begin to shed as much as your cat after five years of use. He prefers this post to any of the furniture in the house and it only took a few weeks to convince him of its superiority over the couch. Very sturdy as well! Your feline owner will love it if you buy him one.

Kalik loves this tall scratching post. She throws herself against the post every morning, scratching and climbing. When Kalik plays rough, the post has a slight wobble but with the wide base, there's no chance for the post to fall over. This is probably sturdy enough for most strong cats. Kalik weighs 10 lbs but plays rough since she's skilled at climbing trees, fences, and even chainlink fences. The sisal is still intact after years of hard use.

This is the only cat structure in our house. It looks nice and our cats love it. It takes them about a year to claw through the side but it is better this than the couch! We will buy a new one annually as long as we have these kittys.

My cats love this very sturdy scratching post. The rope is very thick so I expect it will last a while before I need to replace it. Most of all the cats like to climb it and jump off. They're confident in its stability.

Your cat will enjoy sharpening his claws and climbing up on it since a moment you installed it . The Post will last for a good few years with a daily abusive usage by your cat/cats . Which makes this post amazing quality ! I have 3 of them around my house, but they started to show signs of being worn out after a few years ( but they are not totaled yet ). So recently I bought 2 more and looking forward to buy again soon from this company because now I have 3 cats instead of 2 . I still will keep the old posts in some hidden areas of my house and get 2 more to put it in a new location for my fur babies. I Love this stable , tall , good quality posts and my cats are loving them too. Fingers crossed that this company doesn’t go out of business, because it’s will be a big loss for me .
