These are quality walkie talkies. I’ve used this model for years and when one of them malfunctioned, the customer service team honored the warranty and I got a replacement that I’ve had for 4 years until last week. I bought these so my wife and I could more easily stay in touch around our large property. Before, if I was outdoors mowing or doing something else, or she was inside or in her 'She Shed' we had trouble connecting. She'd have her phone on mute or in another room. I couldn't hear mine over the noise, etc. Clip one of these on our belt and problem solved. Nothing else to keep up with, easy to use with gloves on, no swipes or numbers to put in. The call alert is plenty loud and we can reach anywhere on the property. We usually keep them on all day and have no issues with the charge. These radios worked way better than I expected. I needed them for a power line construction mission, and they performed perfectly clear audio and good range, even in areas with some obstacles. We joined an off road 4x4 club and communication from the front to the back on dusty roads is essential. The club recommended this type of radio. And being able to know which trail to take at intersections, when we’re all stoping to meet up or take a break. These worked great for the first few days. Now they do now work at all. Originally purchased so that my father and I could communicate when I was not right next to him. He had been in the hospital for over a month so when he came home I needed something easy to use and reliable. Due to going back to the hospital I missed out on the return window. These were easy to use. The range is no where close to what it said it was. There was also a lot of other conversations heard. Switching channels there was still interference.
