These Midland radios are a dependable set of long-range walkie-talkies. I’ve used them on camping trips, ATV rides, and family outings, and they offer crisp communication and solid range—up to a mile in wooded areas, more in open spaces. These radios are compact, easy to hold, and come with a belt clip that works well. I like the NOAA weather scan and alerts, which kept us updated during changing conditions. They’re water-resistant, so they’ve handled rain and splashes without issue. Setup was quick—just insert batteries, set a channel, and you’re ready. I bought these so my wife and I could more easily stay in touch around our large property. Before, if I was outdoors mowing or doing something else, or she was inside or in her 'She Shed' we had trouble connecting. She'd have her phone on mute or in another room. I couldn't hear mine over the noise, etc. Clip one of these on our belt and problem solved. Nothing else to keep up with, easy to use with gloves on, no swipes or numbers to put in. The call alert is plenty loud and we can reach anywhere on the property. We usually keep them on all day and have no issues with the charge. Definitely the right tool for what we needed.

These radios worked way better than I expected. I needed them for a power line construction mission, and they performed perfectly clear audio and good range, even in areas with some obstacles. They’re lightweight, easy to set up, and feel really good in the hand. The materials look high-quality and durable, not cheap at all. They held up great during long workdays. We joined an off road 4x4 club and communication from the front to the back on dusty roads is essential. The club recommended this type of radio. And being able to know which trail to take at intersections, when we’re all stoping to meet up or take a break. Or knowing about stopped or progressing on coming traffic on tight trails and making sure the whole pack is staying together and not loosing anyone is vital, before your fun run turns to a search and rescue trip. I like the size. The speaker is plenty loud enough to hear conversations, and instructions. Came with rechargeable batteries. Can be charged on the go while monitoring. Also a desk top dual charge included. Simple to use, once you know how. So many uses, from work place, to recreation. In my case caravans. Will also come in handy when parking and backing up an RV. So far very happy, also like knowing there is a 3 year workmanship against defects warranty, just a little peace of mind.

These worked great for the first few days. Now they do now work at all. Originally purchased so that my father and I could communicate when I was not right next to him. He had been in the hospital for over a month so when he came home I needed something easy to use and reliable. Due to going back to the hospital I missed out on the return window. These were easy to use. The range is no where close to what it said it was. There was also a lot of other conversations heard. Switching channels there was still interference. I would invest your money into a different product. I am super bummed that these didn’t last.
