So first I was not sure if I wanted to buy a refurbished Macbook, so I decided to read some reviews on other peoples experiences purchasing refurbished. There seems to be a few saying they pay for Excellent quality and get good/fair MacBooks instead. So I looked around Amazon some more for options, but kept coming back to this particular Mac. This Mac indeed has the 256 Gb SSD, 16gb Memory, and surprisingly is in really good condition (for reference I purchased an acceptable condition MacBook Pro.) The seller was "SupremeDealsCR" and shipped the laptop to me really fast. I purchased this on the 7th of August and received it by the 9th. The MacBook overall looks in really good condition. There are a few places of wear and tear but that's to be expected, This can upgrade to macOS Sonoma, and then Sequoia when it comes out. I would highly recommend those reading this to purchase one, as it's at a really good deal right now $350. Ill update if anything changes and thanks for reading my review :) ... show more

Purchased this MBP in fair condition. Showed up and was very satisfied. Had one issue, the charger stopped working after a day. Notified the seller and they promptly sent a replacement charger. Very satisfied with this seller and the product.

Summary at the bottom. I don’t know how much everyone paid as it seems to fluctuate but I paid about $300 for a 2018 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. Specifically model a1989. I was hesitant because of reviews, but I am pleasantly surprised. Still I have had a few issues. First the battery does suck. Not a big issue for me and an issue I was ok with as it was anticipated. But still an issue. The second and more annoying issue was the space key wasn’t working properly. Sometimes the key would double press, sometimes it wouldn’t press at all, and sometimes it worked fine. Giving a typing pattern that looked like (A a. A a a a. A a) when altering between the space key and the a key. After some searching I took the key cap off and blew out some dust and hair but that didn’t fix it. Replacing the key is like $20 and I know how to do it. But thankfully before I did I found a video that resets something and it’s working fine now. It was @HeythereDavehere on YouTube. Video was Daily Vlog 019. I recommend checking him out if you’re having keyboard issues because it could fix it before you spend money on repairs. The body of the MacBook is in what I would consider very good condition. There are a couple very small dents that I didn’t even see at first. One on the top back corner and another on the bottom adjacent corner that I hardly consider a dent. More of a scuff. Comments were heated about the cosmetic damage on a used laptop. I chose a fair condition and I’m very happy with its cosmetic appearance but I did honestly expect worse. SUMMARY The reason I give 4 stars is because yes the MacBook works, but only because I anticipated repairs like the battery and keyboard keys not working as well as cosmetic damage. I am able to do some repairs myself which cuts down on costs, but can risk permanent damage to the device. And not everyone has that luxury. This should be a completely usable device and the space key as well as the battery are vital for the usability of this device. But again for me the price was worth the risk. I leave you with I recommend doing your own research and anticipating some repairs and cosmetic damage if you’re considering this purchase. I will update my post if my opinion changes. (I am in no way recommending, endorsing, qualified or encouraging anyone to do any repairs on any products purchased through Amazon or any other manufacturers ever. Seller stated MacBook was renewed Excellent but it barely met acceptable standard. Problems when I received the MacBook Pro were mainly dings all around the edges not repairable with visible scratches top and bottom. Surface worn space gray color clear through to the silver base left and right of touch pad. Keyboard keys terrible patch repair had to replace all keyboard keys. I would not recommend this seller. Worked for a good 3 months then battery went dead had to go get the battery replaced it cost the same amount to get it replaced as the computer it's self
