When reading the reviews I was not sure what to expect. First off the specs are Exactly as defined. The appearance in grade A but with two small scratches on the top cover and a slight ding on one of the corners. These are very minor and they have no impact on the unit. I have done all the updates, installed all my software and office. It’s a performer and slides right into my docking station to drive a dual 49 inch monitor set. I am so very happy with it. Took it on the road and the battery lasted as long as expected. I would say that you make not get the same experience as me, but if you do you will be very happy. So far I’ve enjoyed this product. For some reason the tabs will close randomly I’m not sure why it does that but overall it’s a good product

    • Buyer Beware of Used Tech
Got this laptop and was happy with it for a while. Then shortly after the 90 days return was up (95 days to be exact) it began repeatedly shutting down and rebooting after it warmed up. It seemed hot. I purchased the Asurion support. They replaced the battery and sent it back to me. Still doing the same thing and I'm sending back a 2nd time. Glad I at least had that service agreement (although not fully resolved). I had a new 2008 Macbook Pro back then that did the same thing and motherboard was replaced under warranty. Buyer beware... Update: Asurion informed me the laptop cannot be fixed and refunded me the purchase price (minus the Asurion fee). ... show more

I purchased a 2018 MacBook with 16GB memory and 1TB storage. I’m a student studying graphic design in my senior year. I needed a new laptop with more memory and storage for my Adobe programs. This was perfect, I’m now in the middle of semester and I’ve been able to render all my videos and run multiple programs all at once with no issue. Runs and works like a brand new MacBook (and it beats buying a brand new MacBook) When I purchased the laptop the charger it came with was not working and I contacted the company and they promptly reimbursed me so I could buy a new one. Cons: I ordered a 2018 MacBook Pro (space gray), i7, 1TB storage and received a 2017 MacBook Pro, i5, 500gb storage. I returned that computer and ordered the same one I had originally purchased. This time I did receive a 2018 MacBook Pro, i7, 1TB storage but it was silver (pictured above). I’m not too picky with color and use a case anyways so I did not return this one. It’s a toss up what the seller will send you so I decided to keep what I could. The battery also says it needs servicing, but that’s not a surprise in a reversed laptop. Will update later how long the battery lasts. Pros: Cosmetically looks great. Turned on and seems to function as expected. Shipping was very fast, next day in my case. Edit: The laptop charger died in 20 days. Seller made it right and offered replacement laptop and charger due to the battery issue. They also offered to cover a 2 year warranty on the replacement.     • Computer great, battery not so much
This is a quality laptop at a fair price, but the battery life hovers just below 80% of its design capacity. At 494 cycles and 5.5 years, this isn’t unheard of and I did not choose to return it. Took a while to get the battery conditioned to run at this level, and by then I’d already transferred my system to the laptop so I took it as is. Other than that, it runs great, no complaints and can even run Windows concurrently (better than my newer HP laptop). The lack of ability to upgrade RAM, HD, and graphics card should be considered when purchasing a MacBook - in other words, get the best one you can afford from the start. ... show more

Rarely do I ever buy used tech but this was definitely worth the price. So far as of writing this I've had it for 5 days. It operates like a new Mac, battery life is great, no visible Knicks or scratches, speakers sound great, RAM and memory as described. All ports are functioning.
