  • Best accessory for your Xbox
I loved this kinect. I have always wanted a kinect but coudnt find a deal. Then I found this. I was not sure if I should buy it because it is renewed but I was wrong. This thing costed me around 100 dollars and works great. It works like brand new. If you have a xbox one S or X you would need a separate adapter with it which costed me around 20 dollars. I got a third party and works great. Anyways back to the kinect. It is a must have accessory for you xbox. You have a wide selection of games that you can buy for it. I bought the Kinect Sports Rivals. The motion sensing is great and the mic is good for mic commands and other uses. You can also connect this to your PC or laptop. So overall I loved it And would recommend to anyone that has a xbox. But you have to buy anothertype of kinect for you xbox 360. I also think that it doesnt work with the series s or x, but I am not sure. So if you are shaky about buying it or not definitely buy it for any type of your xbox one. And I dont know why there are so many bad reviews about it. But form me 5 stars!!! ... show more

  • It works!
We ordered a Kinect from a different vendor and it just would not boot at all. Got a return/refund and replaced it with the Kinect from this vendor, and it worked great! We've been playing the heck out of Just Dance. The 4x replay after is the best part of the game, gotta have the Kinect for that. Wish Microsoft had never killed this great product. ... show more

  • Works great
Came with minimal wear and everything works perfectly, so a great experience when getting a renewed Kinect from Amazon for much less than the price of a new one.

  • It is nice and clean
The one I got was preowned and still looked like it was in new quality. One thing to note is that Xbox One S does NOT have a slot for the Kinect.

  • Kinect 2.0 is worth it
This has come a long way since the original kinect for the 360. I bought mine refurbished as it was basically 20% off and when it arrived it looked as good as new. I've used it a few times for exercising and it's been able to follow me pretty well. Viewing the different types of camera views is impressive as it really shows how much more advanced the new kinect is. I had originally wished I could use my original on the Xbox One but now I get why an upgrade is necessary as I don't think the old one would keep up. Being able to control your Xbox with your voice is convenient as well. It doesn't pick up my voice as well as I'd like, but that's more of a software issue that I'm sure will advance in time. If you want to exercise and do some fitness drills then get one of these as it keeps track of some of your information and is easy to use and setup. Glad I bought it ... show more

  • Two bum units and all I got to show for it was this terrible Amazon review
1st product was shipped out rapidly (hurray!) and arrived safely (hurray!). I plugged it into the adapter and connected it to my computer. The unit was successfully detected by my computer (hurray!) and I booted up the software to use the Kinect. The kinect powered on, displayed an image at a shockingly low framerate of 2-10 FPS (huh?) then shut off. After doing some research online, I discovered that some Kinect v2s have bad thermal sensors which prevent the fan from triggering; when the internal temperature reaches higher levels, the unit shuts off to prevent further damage from overheating. Well, darn, I got a bad unit. No biggie; it's a refurbished unit, and I figured there'd be a (small) chance I'd get a bad one. Bad luck, oh well! I just requested a replacement. Amazon's service made it easy to make happen, and the next unit was slated to be delivered a week later. 2nd Unit shows up... And it's in far, far worse condition. Scratches over the faceplate, looked like it'd been dropped in it's lifetime. Not great, but (sigh) I ordered a refurbished unit. I could care less, as long as it works as intended. Plugged it into my PC, device manager shows it connected, aaaaaannndddd... nothing. Not even an image. I can't even get it to turn on this time. Two bum units from the same seller? One right after the other? That's gotta be some kind of record, right? I'm returning these and asking for the full refund -- has been a complete waste of my time. ... show more

  • Motion control gaming, here I come
Initial thoughts on this are good, no complaints. I also ordered a PC/Xbox One S connection kit because my goal is to use this on my PC. I got the device and hooked everything up, initially the SDK didn't recognize the device, so I thought it was a dud. Thankfully, after restarting my computer, after the whole driver/sdk installation, the device showed up and worked. No major scuffs, scratches, or imperfections from what I can tell, should the device stop working a month down the line, I'll update this review. ... show more
