Not being paid for this review, didn't receive free anything, and I have plenty of negative reviews if you don't believe it! I had just bought a $899 Lenovo Flex 7i Evo Platform 2-in-1 laptop. I ran across this laptop for $349 or something, and decided to give it a try. While this laptop doesn't have a screen that folds over, it is far lighter, and the i5 processor seems just as fast, for at least what I do (general browsing, amazon, online gambling, email, etc...) I also like the fact that the bottom is solid, and doesn't have slots for the fan that get blocked by your legs. This looks very similar to a macbook air, at a fraction of the price. My unit arrived in bubble pack, and looked brand new except a light scratch on the outside of the lid. Who cares. My unit actually ended up having a slightly faster i5 processor, and had 16gb of RAM instead of just 8. Bonus! Screen is nice and bright and sharp. The keyboard works well, and has backlighting. My only small gripe is that I don't like the layout of the controls on the Fn keys above the numeric keys (mute, brighten screen, volume, keyboard light, etc...) I'll get used to them, but not crazy about the order/placement they put them in. Overall, this laptop is amazing, and far better than my work laptop which is the newest HP with i7 processor. It stays cool for the most part, and rarely do I ever hear a fan kick on. Did I mention it's super thin and light? The lid can be 'tough' to get open 1 handed, but I only care about that b/c I broke my left wrist so I only have 1 hand at the moment, else no big deal! If you're looking for a great, light, sleek all purpose laptop, don't hesitate on this one. If you're looking for a gaming laptop, obviously this isn't what you want at all. As far as battery life goes, with the screen turned up fairly bright and doing general activities like surfing the web, checking out Amazon shopping, email, etc... I can get 4 hours, and I have yet to fully run out of juice. I'll try to run it from fully charged to when it shuts off on its own, and update this post with actual time. ... show more

Received this for my daughter’s birthday and the screen is broken/will not turn on at all, even after charging overnight. The keyboard lights up but the screen is just black! I have the same computer for work so I am familiar with the laptop and its functions so this is not user error—it’s broken. Called the number they provided for returns and it’s disconnected!! Awful on their part sending a faulty item and taking customers money and then only providing a return policy that takes weeks. After reading the reviews it sounds like this is an ongoing issue (broken devices). And the statement before you purchase the item reads, “This product is inspected, tested, and refurbished, as necessary to be fully functional according to Amazon Renewed standards.” The seller and Amazon are not taking any responsibility for what they claimed is a working item but is broken. The quality for the price is amazing, looks brand new!!! So easy to set up not sure how long the battery will last but I would be surprised if it doesn't last since everything else is so good. Best 215 I've spent so happy to have an affordable computer for college!!!

Pros: -Cost $168 for an acceptable condition renewed Surface Laptop 2. -Condition was surprisingly good, there two light scuffs on the outside and the screen had a very small scratch or crack on the bottom right which I've shown in the last photo, but the only reason I found it was because I was shining a light on the screen when I was cleaning it. Otherwise it's invisible. -I don't know that I could find this level of quality in a laptop for under $300. It can run 4K YouTube videos without any issues as well as office apps. Cons: -Windows was already setup with a login that didn't have a password rather than starting up with Windows setup process. I did a full reset and then ran virus scan software just to make sure no spyware was installed. Make sure you run Windows reset, don't start using it with a premade login. ... show more

I paid over $100 extra for the "excellent" model than the "acceptable" model. a laptop with a keyboard that doesn't work is neither "excellent", nor "acceptable", but quite clearly "UNACCEPTABLE". they claim to inspect it,.but obviously ship the first piece of garbage they see. then they want me to pay for shipping even though it is advertised as free returns. other than that, the outside is scratched and dented.
