  • Great Keypad
Color: Glacier
I love having the number pad on my laptops but my newest computer does not have one. This wireless number pad is a perfect alternative! Doesn't take up a usb port on your computer either. Connects with bluetooth.

  • Good for casual and on-the-go use
Color: Black
This is a really good number pad. But I’m returning it. That doesn’t mean you should do the same. If you value portability and reliability, you can’t go wrong with something from an established company like Microsoft. • The membrane keys feel nice and sound like what you’d get from a standard laptop. • The dedicated backspace and calculator buttons are handy. • The included software—while not the slickest or the most intuitive in the world—lets you customize each button down to specific macros. • It’s got a nice design, with a pleasant smoothness and roundness to it. • It’s lightweight and wireless, so you can slip it into a pocket and take it with you. But the “wireless” part is why I’m returning it. Specifically, the Bluetooth. This isn’t an issue inherent to this particular device, but Bluetooth electronics tend to have a power-saving mode that I find a bit pesky: if you don’t use them for a few minutes, they go to sleep, and you have to press a few buttons to wake them back up. This often causes a delay between when you press a button and when your computer actually registers that button press—sometimes up to a few seconds. It’s not the end of the world, especially if you use your number pad enough that it never really goes to sleep. And I know there’s probably a setting or two I could toggle on my computer to disable this sleep mode if I dig deep enough. But I frankly can’t be bothered, and it’s certainly annoying enough for me to look for something else. In particular, I’m planning to swap this device for a wired mechanical number pad for about the same price. In return, I even get a backlight and the ability to customize my keycaps, which means I can replace them with those typewriteresque circular keys I’ve been eyeing. Again, if you don’t mind the occasional delay, this is a perfectly fine—and in some cases, rather exceptional—little keyboard. But if you’re looking for something a bit more responsive, I would recommend something else, probably wired—especially if it’s at a similar price. ... show more

  • Quality
Color: Black
From just holding it you can already differentiate the quality vs unbranded ones. Installation was very easy and happy that I can just press the calculator button at the top left for the calculator to appear. Initially I thought I would have problem for it being to flat, but no, it’s just fine.

  • Connects quickly but could have been better designed!
Color: Glacier
The Microsoft number pad connects instantly when turned on (after being paired) which is very convenient. It's not terrible to use once you get use to it I've found but would prefer a mechanical keyboard number pad. It would have been nice to have feet on the back which raised the back end more to make it easier to use. I do like that it's so small I can store it anywhere and it allows for 3 separate devices to be connected if necessary. (not all at the same time) It could be worse so I will keep it considering there isn't much out there that's much better. Overall, Satisfied with purchase. *have not had it long enough to rate battery life ... show more

  • Works Seamlessly
Color: Black
I ordered this to use with my Dell XPS laptop as it (the laptop) has a small footprint that doesn't provide a numeric keypad but I use numbers a lot in spreadsheets. This Bluetooth add-on paired with the laptop quickly & easily on first time use and works as well as a numeric keypad that's integrated with the laptop keyboard. Microsoft hardware products are normally on the expensive side but they're well made. This unit falls into that category. It works well, the keys are easy to use / press and it feels like a quality product. The product writeup says the battery lasts for 2 years. I won't know if that's true for quite a while yet but if it is then it's a case of "set and forget" when using it. I'm happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • I would keep this; if I had a PC laptop
Color: Black
So, I have a MacBook Air M2 and I have seen some reviews were yes; they're not fully compatible with Mac and in a sense its true. I work from home (and away from home and work sometimes) and I have a second computer for mobility being my MacBook Air, and I simply remotely connect to my PC at my work office via the means of MS Remote Desktop. So, the looks, feel and quality build is quite superb for this windows number pad and wanted to have some diversity of accessories with a MacBook; the keypad pairs, then I have to skip this whole mumbo jumbo alert saying keyboard won't be accessible to determine the keyboard and to press the left and right shift keys, so I quit but the keypad is still connected. Now, when disconnected and reconnected, the numbers are arrows, and the (.) is a delete key (not backspace). And there is no numlock key so its weird, so I had to re-pair again and it works. I was hoping the backspace key would be, backspace since on the Mac the delete key is a backspace when you hold down function. So I ended up returning, but I think Microsoft SHOULD make a 30-something key version of this, that includes the arrows , home, backspace AND delete key and others. Shame I wanted to keep it. ... show more
