Surprisingly comfortable for its size. Battery life appears to be very good indeed - I bought this in February, I use it every day, and 2.5 months later it claims to be at 85%. My only gripe is that because there's no "off" switch, it can sometimes wake up a Sleeping laptop if it moves around in the bag. I got in the habit of putting the laptop in Hibernate before bagging up, which works great. It's a minor point, but worth remembering. EDIT - I've had this thing for months and I literally just discovered today that the little Bluetooth pairing button on the bottom doubles as the on/off switch. D'oh! What an idiot, eh? So anyway, completely ignore the criticism above. The mouse just got better without even trying. Donald Norman would have a few things to say about that poorly labeled button, though.

I really wanted to like this one. The materials and build quality of this mouse are fantastic, especially for the price. The metal scroll wheel feels like it's taken from a high-end camera! The connection is solid and the tracking is good. The battery door is brilliant. Here's the issue: it's just not that comfortable to use. It's not tall enough to comfortably rest your hand. Also, because the sides are so narrow, there's not enough side-grip to easily lift the mouse when you need to reposition. This made me claw the mouse, and it gets fatiguing quickly. Perhaps those with smaller hands won't have an issue with the height, but I think the narrow sides would still be a problem. The bottom line is that's it's beautiful and the materials feel great. However, the elegant shape just doesn't work that well ergonomically.

I have bought hundreds of tech products over the year but I have never bought anything as bad with such a big brand name. I have bought this product twice now out of my naivete, thinking that the previous incident was a chance event. The first time I bought the product, the scroll button broke down within 3 months. It took me several days and many hours on the phone with Microsoft Support to finally find the right department who could replace my mouse. Amazon could not replace it since the product was out their return policy time frame. The scroll button on the replacement mouse also broke in a few months. Almost a year later, I bought this mouse again thinking it must have been a chance even that the product turned out to be bad. But apparently this is a problem with the product altogether. My new mouse experienced the same product with the scroll button. And once again face the same frustration with the Microsoft Product Service call center. Buy at your peril.

I wanted to get a wireless mouse that didn't require a separate dongle so I can maximize my USB ports, and there surprisingly aren't very many good options out there! Because of that, I was very pleased with the Microsoft Modern Mobile Mouse. The price is VERY affordable, and since it's Microsoft, you can readily trust the brand quality and reliability. This is a full sized mouse although it's definitely slim (its slimness is akin to that of Apple's Magic Mouse). Set up is a breeze. If you have Windows 10, you just need to push the bluetooth button on the mouse and your computer (assuming you have bluetooth on) will automatically detect the mouse and ask you if you want to pair it. A few clicks later and the mouse is up and running. If you want a truly wireless, dongle-free mouse, at a great price and from a trusted brand, look no further than this baby.

The scroll wheel just stopped working suddenly, it used to click and now it is smooth and disengaged. Product is under one year old. There is a thread at microsoft about this issue, apparently it is common. Poor build quality.

I loved this mouse...until today. I've had this mouse for a little over two months. The scroll wheel completely stopped working. It just rotates freely in the mouse. From my research online, this seems to be a VERY common manufacturing flaw for this mouse. I reached out to Amazon support for help. Under the "Get help from Amazon" section, they say they offer "Free 90 day coverage," but have refused to replace or refund the mouse. The support person also refused to acknowledge that their website says this. He abandoned our support chat. Microsoft support was also unhelpful. Such a waste of money. PLEASE NEVER BUY THIS MOUSE!

A solid compact mouse for on-the-go productivity. However, I wouldn't recommend it for long-term use or for gaming. The easy pairing is a great feature. Windows 10 automatically detects this mouse and you can connect it in just a single click on screen. The small size does feel uncomfortable to me as I'm more used to fatter gaming mice. However, they take up way more room than this and usually have 4' more cord than needed. Battery life appears well. I've had this mouse for some time and I'm still on the batteries it came with. The durability is good to as it puts up being smushed in my work bag and squished into overhead bins or under the seat in front of me.

I started off with an expensive Apple Magic Mouse 2 to use with my iPad Pro 10.5 but to my surprise the scrolling feature would not work. I returned it and continued looking. I saw this mouse and really liked the low profile, I needed it to fit in a WaterField case made for the iPad. I just received it, the mouse connects without issue and it scrolls smoothly. So now I feel as if I have a laptop of sorts. I would like to thank Amazon for their easy return policy when there are issues.
