  • Nobody can make a good product bad like Microsoft!
This is possibly another great example of how Microsoft can mess up something great! The previous version of this keyboard was awesome, and having got so used to it, I decided to buy this newer version, and did they goof it up enough! They decided to add 2 new keys - one for launching Office and to accommodate that, they moved the right-click key to the left side next to Control! This made the windows key (or the start key) go much smaller in width, and you often keep pressing the right click key instead! To make matters worse, they widened the Ctrl key on the right side!!! Now most of the keys below the right Shift are useless and the useful keys are unusable! The level to make the keyboard straight , or elevated, has been removed! So with the other stand, you can only make the keyboard tilted, which is not bad, but that is not how you want your keyboard to be always! There is no LED indicators for Num lock, Caps lock! They tried to replace that with keys you would possibly never use. Also there are 2 "Delete" keys! No, I am not joking or exaggerating, there really is 2 Delete keys, not including the Del in the Num lock and an extra Clear key for the numpad!!! Then there are the 2 backspace keys - one for the regular keyboard and the other for the numpad! Thinking about it, Macbook ships with only 1 backspace key, not that I am a big fan of that, still, compare that to 2 delete and a backspace key to make the oft-used keys shorter! The keys aren't as deeps as the 4000. This is not possibly too bad, nevertheless, the feel is not the same as the old one. ... show more

  • Too many key changes that I didn't realize would become a problems.
I have had Microsoft split keyboards from the day they were first introduced. I've always been very happy with them. So when my 4000 keyboard started to type extra keys after many years it was time to get the next generation. Sadly, I didn't realize the number of changes they made to the key layout. When you first look you really don't notice this. On the F-keys F6 moved from the right side to the left. There is very little separation of the F-keys on the right. We use F9, F10 and F11 for debugging very frequently. I was constantly hitting the wrong F-key. Another thing you don't notice is that PrtScr, Pause and Num moved as well. Again, why? After months of use I finally gave up on constantly missing keys because of the odd positioning. I'm sadly back to using a standard keyboard. Not happy but at least I can hit the keys with little effort. Its just such a disappointment. ... show more

  • Good Ergo kybd
I actually prefer this to the logi wave kybd. This is a quiet smooth keyboard with a very nice curve that isn't too extreme. The price is good too.

  • Great alternative to the Microsoft 4000
I agree, Microsoft 4000 keyboard was the most comfortable. But I find this one to be almost equally good. I do not use keyboard as much as software coders or, say, writers. I have a 4000 at home and had one at office too, that recently died in a water spill accident and could not be revived. So now I have this one at office. And I find it good enough. Nothing to complain. It is ergonomic and saves me the pain in my arms and shoulders, the main reason why I went for everything ergonomic. I always go for a wired keyboard to avoid problems with missed words or connection issues. Still, I really wonder why Microsoft would stop 4000, an absolute winner of a product line with a devoted following. ... show more

  • better than before
I’ve been using microsoft natural ergonomic keyboards for quite some time, but the clicks are a little loud on the perpetual zoom and teams calls. This is a similar but better version and also quieter. I did have one go bad in less than a year which was odd- started introducing random capitalization. ... show more

  • Fantastic Keyboard
Always liked the Microsoft Natural keyboards. This doesn't dissapoint. The wrist pad is super comforatable, keys are responsive. Would buy again for another workspace.

  • Nice look, comfortable, and soft keys.
I have been using Microsoft ergonomic key board for years and I love this newer design. The wrist pad is very comfortable (much better than their last design) and they keys feel nice and soft. My only wish is that it would have been perfect if it was wireless but aside from that, I love this keyboard! ... show more
