    • Made a diffrence, not a huge difference, but noticeable!
Opened my hp laptop,saw an empty spot for ram and ordered this to double it. Its the exact same as what i had in it so figured couldnt go wrong. Helps all screens load faster and only took 60 sec. to install.. Great! Going update to an SSD monday,after that my pavilion should fly pretty good!

I recently acquired two older laptops that were running Windows 7. I was able to upgrade them to Windows 10 for free, and they both work well with the newer OS. They run well enough I've been putting them to use for all the things you normally do: Banking online, paying bills, streaming videos, some mild gaming and even some video editing and re-encoding. When I started the video work I found both machines really needed more memory. One of them happened to already have a stick of 8GB Micron ram, and I was hoping to bring both laptops up to 16GB. The HP was capable of using 16GB per HP, but Dell said my other machine was limited to 8GB. This machine was originally purchased and used by the state of California and it came with a Core i7 CPU, Windows 7 Pro and had a number of business/enterprise options on it, so I thought it was odd that Dell said the motherboard topped out at 8GB of ram. Both machines were built less than a year apart, and the HP was a lower mid-level consumer machine, yet it could take 16GB. A little research online told me the Dell had been upgraded by many other people to 16GB successfully. So, between two orders I got four identical sticks of this Micron ram for an excellent price (much less than the usual online vendors charge) and they all work beautifully in my laptops. So if you are looking for ram for some older laptops that can use this type of memory, this Micron 8GB PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 ram is a really great buy! ... show more
