Not as thick as I had expected. More of a thin blanket feel, but it's well made, and easy to throw into the wash. It slides around quite a bit on the hardwood, which isn't a problem for me, but if you're looking for more of a stationary mat it might not suit your needs.

Got this to put in our husky’s crate. She has sharp nails so I was a little worried about her puncturing a cooling mat but this one has held up. Unfortunately, she would rather lay on the bare crate so she bunches this thing up in the back of her crate when we lay it down.

This is our second cool mat. I bought a large size last year for our husky and she loved it. On hot days and nights, I would find her sleeping on the hard kitchen tile floor or at the bottom of the stairs...also cooler tile, instead of in her bed...or in the bedroom, which is carpeted. When we got her cool mat-that ended. It really is cool to the touch and she loved it. This year I bought an extra large so she can stretch out and so we can have a cool spot for her in more than one room. It washes well and dries quickly so no problem dealing with muddy paws or messes dragged over from the dinner bowl. Great purchase.

This pad is very thin and kind of flimsy. It does feel cool to the touch but I have not tried it in an auto in the Summer yet. I like it except it is too thin and floppy, I have to constantly straighten it out and try to keep flat.

I guess it’s just the type of fabric that is cool. It’s a little bit quilted and has a nice edge finish. My Yorkie puppy is not chewing it which I’m happy about. I have two blankets on her dog bed and she is lying on this one with her head resting on the regular blanket. She seems to prefer this blanket. I am surprised that it really is a cooling blanket. I’ve never even heard of that before. But I gave it a try and I’m glad I did.
