I am really into woodworking, really into, so I love stuff like this. I don't need to stop my cuts often, but when I do, product like this are so nice to have in the toolbox. It is well made enough for what it is and what it does. It is mostly plastic, but like all Microjig stuff, it is well made. Not some 3D printer rough part. Quality made with a good fit and finish. Even though it's a simple thing, they still give you a pretty detailed instruction booklet. This is the difference between a good company and a great company. This has to be the most convenient little gadget for any table saw, bandsaw or any other tool with a miter T-slot. Note that it has to have a T-slot and must be at least 5/16" deep. It can be used in two modes: first, as a miter bar stop by being anchored in the T-slot below the surface of the table top. Second, it can be used as a clamp for a stop block sitting on the table top to limit a jig's forward or backward progress, e.g. a cross-cut sled (one that doesn't go beyond the table's front edge). This can act as a safety device to prevent the sawblade from extending beyond the back fence danger zone. The package includes all the hardware to assemble and use in either mode (see the photo of the parts still in the bag, except for the stop block; you have to make that yourself. I don't know why they couldn't include a small piece of their green plastic stock with a hole sized for the, what amounts to a, toilet bolt. The miter stop does come with a 1 page user manual which helps to clarify the uses. Everything is plastic except for the flange bolt, the washer and the threaded insert for the nylon set screw. I have included a couple photos. In the first, I am using it in the miter stop mode to prevent a mini-crosscut sled from extending to fair beyond the cut. In the second, it is merely shown with a small stop block clamped to the table top to limit the movement of a jig. (The kind of which I did not have at the ready to use in the photo.) It's going to be a pretty handy device. One note of caution the nylon set screw has a short, thin slot, so you need a small flat screw driver to lock it in. There is a risk of tearing the slot if you torque it too much. As for the price, well, it's borderline not cheap for what you can make with a short piece of slotted miter bar and a bugle head screw...but who wants that when you can have this well-designed pretty one. ... show more

Another great product from Microjig. This works great as a stop for your cross cut sled to prevent the sled from cutting too far into the front bar. It slides into any ¾ inch t-shaped miter slot and uses a nylon set screw to tighten it in place. Just set it in your slot, move your sled to the desired stop position, back the sled out and tighten the stop. Shown in the third picture. I have a large cross cut sled so the stop had to be near the end of the table. Simple and works great. It can also be used as a jig clamp utilizing the miter slot on your table saw. For this use, you don’t use the nylon nut but instead insert the included t-bolt in the Zeroplay stop, insert your jig over the bolt and use the included wing knob to tighten it in place. This can be used to firmly clamp a feather board, or a thin rip jig, or any other jig you might need. I show it in use using a piece of scrap wood. The bottom is cut out to accept either the included t-bolt but it will accept any 1/4-20 bolt of any length as shown in the last picture. You need a ¾ inch t-shaped track to use the Zeroplay Miter Stop. It will not work in a standard t-track. ... show more

    • Handy little device
One problem with table saw sleds is that they can be dangerous if you push the sled too far forward and expose the saw blade past the back of the sled where your hands are. This simple little device can save your fingers by creating a stop for the sled that prevents you from moving it too far. This can be especially helpful for small temporary sleds or jigs put together to perform on one-off operation that will likely not incorporate a blade guard. It also can be used to create repeatable stopped dado or slot cuts and even to clamp small jigs, fixtures or spacers to your table saw top. Like all MicroJig products it is well made and of high quality. However, stop is made of plastic and is secured in place via a nylon set screw. This is adequate for its intended purpose, but limits you to clamping smaller items that will not be stressed too much. Overall, it is a handy little device. This "miterstop" is the simplest little tool but it has good versatility and should come in handy for multiple functions. It can be used as a recessed "stop" in the miter slot of a table saw (or other tool with a T-miter slot such as a bandsaw) to facilitate "stopped" cuts such as dados or similar. A small nylon set screw allows it to be wedged in the miter slot preventing a miter bar from sliding beyond it. It can also be used to create other saw table fixturing where clamping to the table is desired. For example I made an inexpensive thin rip cut jig that allows me to safely repeatedly rip cut thin pieces of material on the "off" side of the tablesaw blade where they don't become trapped between the blade and fence creating a hazard. This product came with an excellent set of instructions. Note: when you open the packaging make sure you inventory the parts. In my kit the small nylon set screw seemed to be missing however I found it screwed into the "wing knob". It's easily removed with a flat blade screw driver. I guess this is a secure location for it during shipping, but it wasn't obvious upon unpacking. ... show more
