A Fake! Read to catch a fake!

I was excited to received this and then bummed when I did. I ended up returning this and ordering from the Michael Kors website to ensure it wasn't a fake. There are many ways to spot a fake and this one passed some - not all. 1) The box that it comes in - when you lift up the box to open it, Michael Kors embossed name should also be on the bottom, like a little border - this was just a box and the embossed name was only on the top, outer top. 2) It did NOT come with the "pillow" that holds the watch - except, a cardboard holder that doesn't even fit inside the box unless you lay it side ways - on ITS SIDE!!! Epic fail. 3) NO Michael Kors booklet - just a card 4) The BIGGEST indicator for this specific watch is when you open up the clasp. It should ALL be ROSE GOLD NOT SILVER WHEN YOU OPEN THE CLASP!! This one passed other signs but I'm listing them so you can catch it on other watches: The words on the bottom of the watch should be engraved vs. printed on When you open the clasp, there should be a serial number MK should be engraved on the dial and side screws that hold the face Michael Kors name should be engraved on the clasp vs. printed on Hope this helps but this one is going back! ... show more

Too small for wrist.

***Edit to review I did not notice that this watch had a vacuum sealed plastic wrap around the band and clasp. Once removed, this watch fits me a little loose but perfect like a bracelet watch except the watch face stays facing upwards so I am very pleased with my purchase. This is a beautiful watch but the band is very small in length. I don't have big wrists but clasp would not close due to being too tight. ... show more

IT'S A FOSSIL WATCH

So I wanted to do something really nice for my wife for Christmas and get her a quality, well know name brand watch. I was originally going to get her a nice Fossil watch but then decided to go the extra mile and get her a nicer, more expensive designer watch so I decided on Michael Kors. I gave it to her on Christmas day and she immediately put it on and wore it regularly. A few days went by when she noticed the rose gold finish wearing off of the band. This problem has continued to get worse day by day. I was pretty upset about this so I contacted both Amazon as well as Michael Kors on January 11th. I'm still waiting to hear back from Amazon but I did get a response from Michael Kors. I was told to address my concerns to the Fossil customer service department... FOSSIL! Yup, it's a Fossil watch with the Michael Kors stamp on it. Glad I decided to pay the extra money. ... show more

Good Watch - Terrible Packaging

The watch that came worked as a watch should. The problem, and why I am giving it 3 stars is because how it arrived. The box the watch came in was fine, but the watch on the inside looked like it had been used before and was poorly re-packaged to make look new. The plastic covering the watch had been taken off and dust had accumulated on the sticky side so it wouldn't stick to the watch and looked terrible. There was also dust covering the inside of the box like the lid had been left off of it for a year before being sent to me. Careful, might be fake

I have this exact watch that I purchased from Dillard's some years ago. It got a lot of micro-scratches over time from typical wear and tear. I also lost a lot of the crystals around the outer rim. I liked this watch so much and wanted to repurchase it to replace mine but what I received looked ALMOST like the original I have except that the inlay pattern of the crystals decorating the outer border of the watch looked very different and cheap. As others have alluded to....great watch, terrible packaging.

First off, beautiful watch...bought it for my girlfriend for Christmas. However, I took off one star as the packaging was horrible. Upon opening the box, the watch was sealed in plastic, but taking it out of the package it seemed like it was used before with a little wear on it. I wouldn't say this watch is "brand new" but it still looks nice...guess it's one of those things where you pay $100 less than stores, there may be a reason for it. ... show more
