This is one heck of a humane mouse trap. The only problem was the stairs are very flimsy. I had to duct tape them from behind to keep the stairs together so the mouse could climb up to the bait and fall into the pail. It doesn't kill the mice so you can safely and humanely relocate them elsewhere. Nice thing is you can bait it once with peanut butter and over the course of a day it will attract and trap several mice. Worth every penny.

Took some time assembling. Added a few sunflower seeds onto the black lid and 5 minutes later caught 2 mice. You need easy lightweight bait like sunflower seeds or grain of some sort. The trap will do the rest. Took a star off. The mouse face on the roof top gave me the creeps. Don’t need a reminder as to why the lid is needed. Worth the money and the assembly time.

We have used this in our chicken coop for a week now, and it has caught 9 mice, so it definitely works! We used peanut butter as bait, and we did put water in the bottom of the bucket. I bait it in the evening' and just leave it out overnight. Very easy! Assembly is a little tricky, so just take your time and be patient. Once it is put together, I wouldn’t recommend trying to disassemble it.

If you buy this one, I did for the price, just know that you have assemble the top. The yellow "hood" comes in 3 pieces that are difficult to put together. I had to heat the top with hot water to get the side tabs to fit. I do have severe arthritis in my hands, so that was part of the issue. Most of the others, at a higher price, come with hood as one piece.

I had a mouse problem in my mostly finished out garage and tried a variety of other ways to catch them. After they destroyed two quilts that were stored in a cabinet, I went on a mission and found this thing.. I caught 5 little mice in the garage on the first night and took them far away to a wooded forest for a ne destiny. That seems to be all of them.. I did catch a squirrel by accident later, but they can get out, fyi.... but I bought it for the mice. I just leave it set up out in the garage and check it every so often just in case, But I haven't seem any further signs. It is just the lid. You have to add the bucket. Defiantly worth the $. Wish I had done it sooner.

The tabs on the top portion do not fit together whatsoever. Very very very frustrating piece of garbage. Quality control. Whoever makes these things needs to be fired.

Bucket traps work well and I've caught 3 mice using this product, but find another seller because this thing is low quality junk. Less than a month in it's already breaking from normal use. Out of the box one of the tabs to attach pieces together was already broken and assembling it felt like I was about to snap it several times because the plastic is so thin and brittle. The last time I removed the ramp so I could bring the bucket outside one of the two connecting tabs broke off and it's only a matter of time until the other one breaks and the trap becomes completely useless.
