I buy all my daily wear pieces from Miabella and they've been consistently high quality and a good value. This one is no different. They weight and thickness are great, definitely has some heft to it. The handful of people saying "it's not real silver" have no idea what they're talking about. I've owned multiple pieces, had them repaired and altered, they are always 100% solid sterling silver. The shine on this one is truly brilliant so it most likely is rhodium plated, which is fine. People don't realize silver tarnishes and needs to be polished regularly, using a specialized non-abblative cleaner, or any jeweler will clean it for a couple bucks. Very good chain. This is the only brand you can trust is real silver. The 20” chain is 26.2 grams. 6mm wide of course and 1mm thick. So it’s pretty heavy duty and sturdy. These chains need to be heavy so they lay flat, this one does great. You get that new silver white ice shine. People on here reviewing saying it turned black after years….. Duh, it’s real silver, it will tarnish eventually and much faster if it gets wet and isn’t dried off right away. This is a chain that will last a lifetime and it’s a solid amount of silver so you’ve basically got an emergency $50 around your neck when you wear it. (Silver is $60 ozt today) For me, 20” is perfect, I can tuck it into my shirt to be hidden, or it can be out and still look classy because it’s not a 30” rapper chain. I would say if you are over 6’ tall, get the 22” You can put a pendant on it if you want as well, but remember it’s 6mm so it needs a bigger bail to fit through. I’ve added photos of it on the scale, in my hand and the result of the acid test (Silver acid turns red when its real silver) I have dozens of chains, this may be my new favorite, and I definitely have a new favorite Jewelry company on Amazon. ... show more

This is a beautiful chain. The workmanship is perfect, it’s real .925 sterling, the length is perfect and the width at 6mm is perfect for the large 3 inch pendant I have on it. It has a very bright shine and is thick, it’s a very substantial chain with good weight. For the money I spent for it? I’m ecstatic!!! Marbella makes the best mariner link chains I’ve personally seen!! Just so folks are aware, sterling Silver CAN and definitely WILL tarnish. It can turn black, a yellowish color etc. That’s completely normal and all sterling silver will do so. People on here whining about their chains tarnishing and saying it’s fake, junk BLAH BLAH is plainly stupid. Silver jewelry requires maintenance & upkeep.
