Beside the fact that the box arrived very old, this straightener works really well. I have a slightly wavy and thin hair so 250 works well. it has a re and green light to shows when it's heated up to the set temp, which I found very useful

This straightener works great on my thick, wavy hair. I have no complaints there. What drives me nuts about it—and the reason I’m finally going to buy another and give this one to charity—is that the cord is ridiculously long. If your outlet is on the other side of your huge bathroom, you would appreciate this. But if your outlet is there above your sink, having this long cord will likely be a total nuisance. It constantly gets caught in the drawers or on the drawer knobs. I’ll open a drawer and the iron will go flying as the cord was wrapped around the knob. I have to fold the cord up and drape it over the mirror just so we don’t step on the plug—worse than stepping on LEGOs. I know that this is definitely a First World Problem. But it’s also a review for buyers who want to know both the pros and the cons. ... show more

I love this flat iron. I have been struggling with my frizzy hair for years and this thing makes it so straight and smooth. I live in Ohio and it gets VERY humid in the summer time. After using other flat irons, my hair would frizz up after walking outside during lunch. With the MHU your hair will stay straight and frizz free until you wash it again. I have had this MHU for 2 months and I never have a bad hair day anymore. I wish I had discovered it earlier, it would have saved me from many stressful mornings! This is the first time I've purchased a hair straightener. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to do it but I figured I could take a risk at this low price. I'm really happy with it! It heats up really quickly, it has a rotating cord and the cord is plenty long enough. It stays on for about 30 minutes and then it automatically shuts off which is good for safety. It straightened my hair quickly and I really appreciate the two hair clips that came with it to be able to secure areas of my hair back while straightening the others. I think it's an okay flat iron. I wish the wand was wider though. I think it would do a better job of straightening with less passes through the hair. Less damage too.

So I go through straighteners at least once a year. I never found one that I truly liked or they just lose their "steam.". This straightener is my favorite. It glides nicely, it straightens and smooths perfectly and my hair stays straight, even in the humidity. I would purchase this again and again.
