    • You don't have to take the whole dash apart to install
Look up how to install these without taking the whole dash apart on the JL Wrangler forum. It takes an hour or so but it's all screws and interior trim panel removal. Not hard if you have a basic mechanics set of tools. The speaker wiring adapters are included. The pods themselves are a perfect fit and well made. They took a standard 6.5" mid-range speaker with no modification. I used a foil backed sound deadener on the inside and that sealed all of the bonus holes in the pod. If you don't use an asphalt deadener, you will need to seal all of the unused holes so that it doesn't whistle. I used polyfill as well and the sound is very tight and you get slightly better bass response. Switching to a 6.5" from a 4" is the big improvement with the Alpine "upgrade" system. The knee speakers only receive mid-bass signals, so don't worry about getting 2/3-way speakers with a tweeter. ... show more

Great product. Decent value. I recommend adding some sound deadening to the inside and outside of the box since it is made of plastic and may not resonate well. The installation is rather difficult because of the specific vehicle, however metra provides great instructions. I am a professional installer, I recommend this for every Jeep. ... show more

These pods further advance the soundstage in your wrangler or gladiator. Add some interior and exterior sound dampening to them and fill them with polyfill for even more robust sound quality.

These pods worked great for upgrading the lousy 4" speakers in my Wrangler Sport JL to 6.5" speakers. The product itself was great but the installing everything was a pain in the butt. I would recommend these since the bigger speakers make a world of difference in the sound....

    • Debes tener un blower en caso de que no entre el altavoz.
Si el altavoz tiene un imán grande debes usar un blower para el pod del lado del pasajero. Calentar hasta ablandar el lateral y luego entrar y atornillar el altavoz. Los pods caben perfectamente en su lugar.
