2005 Jeep Wrangler owner, I bought this because Amazon indicated it fit 2001-up. That is simply incorrect. The packaging shows 2009-UP. If you don't know with 100% CERTAINTY you need this, check online resources to verify what type of antennae wire/plug your vehicle has. I wish I had done this before buying parts. And the 2005 I own has a proprietary round black plastic bit on the cable from the antennae standard cable to the back of the radio, that is an 18 inch cable converter from the factory. So for my application, I need a short standard extension from the new Pioneer deck I installed, to the mid-dash position where the factory antennae cable ends in a old-standard antennae male plug.

This DOES NOT fit the ‘07 and up Jeep Wrangler factory radio antenna. You’ll need the one in the pic I posted. Just trying to make sure no one else has to wait a week and a half to finish their radio installation like I did.

Not sure what the issue is. It LOOKS like it should fit but I can't get the vehicle end to engage the antenna lead. It looks to be about 1/32" too big. I fear that if I try and force th connectors together I will ruin the vehicle end. Hmm... more research needed!

Don't know why manufacturers keep creating new proprietary connectors amongst other things especially when the old tried and true connector was perfectly suitable but here we are and Chrysler did just that with the antenna connection on a 2005 Dodge Neon. This adapter is admirably doing the job of bridging reliable, compatible and common sense existing and industry standard technology with nonsensical, restricting and generally poorly conceived corporate malarky. I certainly hope that Metra didn't have to pay any licensing fees to make this helpful part.

Exactly what I need to connect my stock vehicle antenna to my new android head unit. It works well and it was simple to install. If I had to do it again, I would buy another one of these. I wasn't getting any FM radio signals before (head unit instructions claimed I didn't need to connect the antenna because it had a 'built in' FM antenna on the unit), but with this connected my pickup gets FM signal just as well as it did before.
