Cheap, easy to break, and ineffective. I was skeptical upon opening the package and seeing how incredibly thin these were in comparison to the ones I buy in store but figured I’d at least try them. Before purchase I verified I could use the tool in photo meant for fixing these to your project and all that happened was them ending up crushed without grabbing the fabric. So I tried the tool they came with and the exact same thing happened. Not worth the money or hassle. It also ruined the fabric I was testing them with. Save yourself the headache and just go to the store and buy them.

So far, the actual grommets seem to work well. But the box they're in needs improvement. In the picture you see a nice, neat kit with twelve bays of male and female pieces (suggesting, logically, that there are six different grommet types inside). What you GET, however, is a box with only eight bays and because the lid doesn't fit tightly to the base, everything is jumbled around so you open the box to find everything mixed up into one chaotic mass of male and female pieces. Organizing this mess again is going to be fun (insert eye roll here).

I bought this kit to try out on my masks during the pandemic. I wanted to try using shoelaces threaded through eyelets instead of using hair ties to secure my masks. The eyelets are incredibly simple to install. The kit comes with everything (minus instructions, a hammer, and work surface) needed to install the eyelets. I used an old cutting board as the surface to punch the holes on, then used a small upholstery hammer to install the eyelets using the tools from the kit. Four eyelets took less than 5 minutes to install, and they held strong through several days of use, and 2 trips through the washing machine so far! This kit is a great investment if you have a pair of shoes that has a worn out or missing eyelet, could also be used to turn old fabric scraps into cute earrings (use eyelets to hold earring piece), or even just using the eyelets on sewing projects like I did!

I’ve bought and used the colored eyelets Several times & I was so excited to see these, but, they aren’t the same, every time I try to use these, when I go to clamp them together, the shaft/neck doesn’t flair out to secure the Washer (?) part on. And I end up having to pry it off, which really isn’t hard & then go back to using the colored eyelets that work correctly. Don’t spend your money on this.

Everytime I would try to press them the back washer would just split in many spots and just end up breaking. I bought these to try and replace the grommets in my boots but it was a no go as they were just not heavy duty enough and wouldnt even hold up to general pressing pressure to ensure the was sealed to the grommet itself.

I ordered this product despite most reviews stating the punch was dull. They were right. However, I was able to sharpen it myself enough to do the job. I'm using these grommets on a dog collar that is about 1/8" thick. Can't imagine it will take much pulling before the eyelets tear out.
