  • More difficult than it appears, but great fun and reward!
Once the prod duct is built, you will be so satisfied and feel accomplished. Just be warned that some pieces are small and can be difficult to work with. This was something our 10 year old wanted and required assistance with. I recommend this for a great activity to do with the child and also a great display piece! ... show more

  • Glue not required... Yeah Right
Love this one. Take your time and make sure to look thru instructions first. Tools I use are in one of the pictures that I uploaded, Jewelry tools. and hobby snips. any wooden dowel, different size round items,(to wrap parts around so they look nice) knife or something thin for prying and SUPER GLUE... Its says glue is not required but It is NEEDED.. I've done at least 20 of these things, I still snap pieces off. It happens. Some parts wiggle even when you think you cant get the little tabs bent over anymore..>glue them. ... show more

  • 8 hours well spent!
I've done several of these metal 3D puzzles, the Optimus Prime was by far my favorite. This one took me almost 8 hours to complete, but I really took my time and made sure that all the fittings were secure, that he was sturdy, and I really embraced trying to figure out what each piece was supposed to be (semi truck, car part, tire, etc.) that made up Optimus. I would definitely recommend using one of the Metal Earth tool-kits, I think I used tweezers, small scissors, the needle-nose pliers and the the tiny tin snips on this set. It definitely came in handy. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who loves puzzles, transformers, model kits, and/or has a lot of patience. ... show more

  • Great value, patience is rewarded.
Very detailed, very intricate. They did an excellent job with this. It is very complicated and difficult, so you need a lot of patience. Take your time, make sure you have the right tools, and you will be very pleased with the results.

  • Not for kids
Too sharp , be careful, it will cut your hand

  • I would have given it five stars for the detail but I'm bumping it down because two of the pieces easily snapped
This is not for the faint of heart, definitely an adults project. I would give five stars for the detail but I'm bumping it down to four because two of the pieces snapped relatively easy during assembly. Which made me sad :-( So my advice - bend pieces once because you need to. Bend them twice if you have to. Don't bend them three times or it's broke. ... show more

  • Very Small Pieces
These are very small pieces to work with, which is fine because some of us like that. I am anxious to begin putting mine (the Millennium Falcon) together to see how it comes out. However, if you are looking for a model for someone who cannot work with small pieces (children even older than 3 years or older persons), this may not be your best choice. ... show more
