I was feeding my dog a different brand of food. Her trainer suggested that I try different treats during training, so she gave me small trial sized packets. Well, my dog loved them so much I bought the food. I used to cook her chicken or give her kibble. The kibble would go to waste sometimes, and although the chicken never did, I was buying packs of it at the grocery store. I decided to try buying her the raw +kibble bag. She liked it, but she kept eating the raw pellets. So, I bought the mixers. This dog would eat the raw pellets and. spit out the kibble. Or she would pick up her dish and slam it to the ground, to allow the kibble to fly everywhere and she would eat only the raw food. Well, I am slowly making my way to buying only the freeze dried raw food, but it is so expensive, like $56 for around a one pound bag. I'm glad my dog is small (22 lbs) but I feel like I am buying this food at least twice a week. I wish they would make bigger bags with less kibble and make it cheaper for people to afford. I can only imagine if have a 50 lb dog and it only wanted this food! Anyways, Instinct got it right with the raw food, now to make it more affordable for us! ****UPDATE**** this topper is the absolute BEST!! Both our dogs attack the dog bowl like when we put fresh chicken or steak in their bowls, amazed!! We have been having problems with our sweet, elderly Pitty becoming a VERY picky eater. I’ve tried a few different “toppers” because I still want him to eat hard food for his teeth, with mixed results. He HOUSED this mixed in with his hard food!! I mean housed! Smells almost like human food, very good quality! Also quite a good price. I think we found our new topper. Ivan approved! ... show more

It's a good healthy mixer with kibbles. Unfortunately, it's extremely pricey for what it is. When used for training treats, it suddenly becomes economical. When used as treats, it's much healthier for the dog, and they like it better than other treats
