I bought this to replace a wooden one I had that was falling apart. I strongly recommend this metal one over the wooden ones for 2 reasons: 1) the branches will not unscrew and fall apart, and 2) it has a circular base that is durable. The wooden coat racks with legs will have to be tightened over time, and nobody has time for that! It will have wobbly legs, which will topple over if you don't tighten then. I just love this one (got the dark brown one) because I could put heavy coats on it, and it actually looks better in person compared to the photos. ... show more

I didn’t remove the “protective wrapping” on the marble base until after I set the coat rack up. I turned the box upside down and all the little pieces fell out. It would have been nice if the company would offer a percentage off due to the damage but my only option was to exchange or return it. With the hassle of putting the coat rack together and lugging it up the stairs, it wasn’t worth it. Thankfully you can’t really tell unless staring at it. Though if I wanted a damaged item, I would have bought it knowing I was getting a discount. Otherwise, I like the coat rack and I use it as a purse organizer. ... show more

I would have given the coat rack 5 stars but it came with a dent in the pole. Must have been damaged during shipping. The assembly was very easy, no fuss. Everything fit properly. Otherwise this is a great purchase for my purses and tote bags. I recommend purchasing this product.
