    • Merry Christmas Banner: Appealing but Flawed
At first glance, the Merry Christmas banner seemed like the perfect festive touch for my home. The design was appealing and captured the holiday spirit. However, I was ultimately disappointed with its lightweight construction. The bottom lacked the necessary weight to keep the banner straight, and despite my attempts, I couldn't secure it to my brick home. Nailing it in might be an option for some, but it was impractical for my situation. Additionally, the persistent creases in the banner were a letdown. Despite various attempts to smooth them out, they never fully disappeared. While the banner could work well for someone with a different setup or a willingness to invest extra effort, it simply wasn't my choice. I had recently purchased Halloween banners to hang outside my door for some themes decor, and loved the vibrant color and ease of installation. Those banners came fully assembled with a high quality rod and thick synthetic string. Basically, it was everything I hoped this one would be - and it wasn’t. The red color is far more muted than pictured and the white doesn’t “pop” at all. It’s looks and feels very plain and cheap. The hanging component is NOT pre-assembled. You have to force insert a flimsy plastic dowel (which felt like it was going to snap each time). The hanging cord is also very flimsy, a low count fabric that will not last very long in the elements. To top it all off, the cord “locks” into the dowel by removing a plastic cap, inserting a bit of fabric into the end, and pushing the cap back on to pinch it in.
