  • Best purchase!
Size: 11.5 Color: Gold
This brand! I can't say enough. My first pair of these were used second hand, very lightly worn both my boys wore these for about 1year and they were still in good enough shape to give to a friend for her boy to wear when he lost his at my house. That's 4 kids (boys between age 4-6) worth of wear and tear. So, THIS pair above are the one I bought recently for my adult special needs son, 6+ft. Tall and has put on weight. He is heavy on shoes. He will walk the toes and heals off just about anything. These hold up to him! I used to have to buy two pairs of shoes for him just to get through one year during school because of how bad other brands build their shoes now. This brand will last him longer than a year or two I have no doubts on that! MADE TO LAST! MERELL DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING, DON'T COMPROMISE! LOYAL! ... show more

  • It is as good as my first pair.
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Beluga
It is as good as my first pair of the same shoes. I never understand why people rate shes as good fit or bad fit. YOUR good fit may not be MY good fit. With that said, my size is 9EEE. This pair fits me great. When trying on fit, always get it slightly loose. On all day long hike, your foot expands and you will need an extra half size. My first pair of the same model is very good. I walked a lot and the bottom is worn out by my VERY HIGH MILEAGE USE. I wish they make the sole even more durable. The upper is still like new after 3-4 years. Not stitching is worn out. No glued parts peeling off. No material become frayed. ... show more

  • Most comfortable sneakers I've ever bought.
I used to get sneakers costing half the price of these, and was very hesitant to even try them on at the store (first time I bought them), but with my weird feet (flat and wide), the Merrell extra wide fits perfectly, and are the most comfortable sneakers I've ever bought. Wife got me to try the first pair, and is actually kind of annoyed I've been getting the same thing over and over again for years now, but when you find something that works, you stick with it. So the fact I've bought at least a dozen pairs of this model sneaker should be enough to let you know that I really like them... but they are sneakers, and everyone is different, so maybe try a pair at a store, first? ... show more

  • Pretty good
Size: 11.5 Color: Gold
Got these on a sale and have hiked about 50 or so miles thus far. I ordered a half size up and they fit really well. Pros: Great fit Soles are rigid and durable. I hike over jagged rocks frequently and the sole protects your feet well. Cons: they are a bit heavy. They are way thicker and chunkier than the photos will portray. This can add some protection however. So not all bad. So so: Comfort. I’d say by about by mile 6 my feet are about done and need a break. This could be the weight or the insole I’m not sure. But they aren’t amazing for comfort. Maybe just ok. Good for shorter day hikes I’d say. The sole alone is really worth the purchase. Despite a couple drawbacks. ... show more

  • Good shoe overall
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Beluga
I normally get a wide (9.5 wide). Other shoes I've got 9.5 wide fits perfectly. This 9.5 wide is a bit wider than any other wide shoe I've got. I little more room in the width than I'd like. Other than that, I do like the shoe. When it's time for new shoes, I'll probably get this again in just a 9.5 (not wide) and hope it's a good fit. ... show more

  • Rugged
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Beluga
I just got back from hiking well over 50 miles in four National Parks in Utah in 8 days. These shoes were very comfortable with no breaking in needed. They are holding up well with no signs of wear. The sole is rugged and has good traction. I crossed a shallow stream several times and thought I was going to get my socks wet but the shoe kept them dry. The shoe is lightweight and easy to hike in. They are also very stylish. It's one thing to do it good but it's another thing to look good doing it. ... show more

  • 🥾 🌲 🪨 Incredibly comfortable & go through mud like a tank
Size: 11.5 Color: Beluga
I hike in the Cleveland MetroPark’s, Brecksville Reservation particularly. Some of the trails can be treacherous on shoes as the mud gets very thick, the trails have many rocks and you have to cross several creek’s because they are in the middle of the trail. Most of my shoes last around 3 months with daily 3-4 mile hikes and I have to add all kinds of inserts for comfort and even still I had discomfort. I’ve tried all the brands North face ect ect These are the only hiking shoes I’ve had in years that I don’t need inserts and seem to be holding. They grip the mud incredibly well and drain fast when you have to walk through deep water and are not too heavy. I don’t slip on the trail stones like I do with other brands going down hill, They keep your feet warm in the cold and cool in the heat. If you’re into advanced, harsh trail hiking these are for you 🥾 🌲 🪨 ... show more

  • What you see is what you get.
The gold color really stands out, almost too much, but I do like them. I've purchases Merrell shoes in the past and they all seem to suffer from the toe area separating after prolonged use. They are very comfortable though and will purchase again.
