Horrible, paper thin insoles is my only complaint. They actually use that as part of their marketing photos for the heel “cushion” (note the blue oval in heel pics). That blue oval is paper thin. First of all I bought these for work which includes working in the office and spending time walking and standing on a concrete floor of the factory. I am a Merrell fan but after wearing these for a day by the end of the day my feet were killing me. I recall some reviews complaining about the insoles so I ordered some replacement insoles. I wore them again while awaiting my insoles to arrive and same results. After replacing the insoles they were perfect at the end of the day to the point I didn’t need to immediately remove the boots and give my dogs a rest. It's never easy finding shoes or boots in EE or EEE. Some boots billed as being made for the wide foot must be referring to baby's feet because they don't fit me. Not so with the Moab. The wide toe box was made for me and anyone with a Wide foot. No breaking in required either. First time I wore them I was out in the snow. Sorry for the four pair of unworn boots in the closet, they won't be getting a new friend moving in. ... show more

Very well made & very comfortable to ware, very little break in required, I would buy again. I like the toe box, does not pinch the foot, plus Gore-Tex. A great buy for the money, can't go wrong.

This shoes offer very good protection against extreme weather like very cold or rain. Ideal of hiking as well as regular morning walk. Initially you might feel little that they are little bulky if you are used to light boots. It took me a week to get fully comfortable!

You want a durable pair af daily wear shoes these are for you. If you're going to be doing any real hiking do yourself and your feet a favor and buy a real hiking boot. Also, they aren't waterproof. Not even close.

Often hiking boots are too narrow and only allow compensation for wider feet by suggesting the next size up….that just leads to blisters. Very few boots give us the wide foot sizing option (why? I have no idea). From day one, these boots made it far more comfortable for me and my wide feet to take a hike. My husband was in search of a truly waterproof hiking boot for our local hikes. These fit the bill. He's worn them on numerous hikes through wet terrain and states that they keep his feet 100% dry. Definitely recommend!
