I do not know much about clothing styles or types of material since I never care much about them. However, I prefer pants and shorts with many pockets because I usually bring a lot of stuff with me, and this pair of shorts has six pockets. When wearing pants and shorts, things fell out of their side pockets quite often. Therefore, its advertised "2 zipper pockets" get my attention. Since I have lost some weight lately, I assumed that my waist size should be as it was several years ago, and was ready to order. Fortunately, I remember seeing recently a flexible ruler tape, so to be sure, I used it to measure my waist and it was three inches larger than I thought. Anyway, it is a nice pair of shorts that is very comfortable to wear, partly thanks to its elastic bands. I like it a lot, especially the two pockets with zipper.

My son liked the feel and fit of these shorts. I haven't washed them yet so can't speak to that issue. The top two front pockets have a hidden zipper which can be utilized to help contain pocket items. The bottom two front pockets have a small piece of velcro for closure. My son didn't like how the items in the top pockets rested right on the top of the bottom pocket (just his preference).

I live in shorts all summer long and I especially like cargo shorts because you can just never have enough pockets. I like the fact that the back of the waist band has a bit of elastic because that gives them a comfortable fit even with a belt on. The front top pockets are zippered and you can just leave them open all the time or zip them up to keep your keys or wallet really secure. The pocket zippers are on the inside the pockets so you can't see them from the outside. The lower pockets fits my larger smartphone perfectly and they have a handy Velcro tab to keep it secure. The fabric is thin and has a bit of a stretch to it, It feels cool and I actually like them better than the cotton Cargo shorts I usually wear. I wear a 38 and the size seems to be true. They look good, fit good and are really comfortable to wear. I am quite happy with them.

I was genuinely surprised at how well these fitted and felt. The twill is good and has a little shine to it. They feel light when wearing them, which is a plus in Texas heat, and the multiple pockets are just the icing on the cake. Often shorts have two small pockets which is not great for the man out and about. Though described as a casual these are neat to wear in a more formal summer environment.

I got these for my husband. He’s 5’11” and athletic build. I got size 32 which is his normal size. The shorts were about 1 to 2 inches too short for him and the pockets were a little small for his hands. Other than the length, they fit him well. They are made nicely and the materials are good. They wash up well. He wears them around the house, but won’t wear them out because he doesn’t like the length and pockets. I knocked off a star because the pockets are not useful.

My husband is six foot two and, weighs 185-190lb, and has a 32" waist. We ordered a size 34 in gray. The shorts fit well around the waist and fall slightly above the knee. The gray is medium in color and will go well with anything. The material is lightweight but durable and dries quickly. My husband especially appreciates the amount of secure pockets. The front closure looks like a button but is a slide, and the waistband is elastic, so there is some forgiveness in sizing. These are excellent shorts and are priced to buy. Five stars.

I guess there's nothing 'wrong' with these shorts, but they weren't necessarily what I was expecting - hence the 3 stars. Legs are shorter than I would have preferred and the twill is a bit too shiny. Just not me. Fits true to size, just didn't like the look. Your mileage may vary.

These are very lightweight cargo shorts. They seem to fit true to size. I usually wear a 30 waist and got the 30 in these shorts. They fit perfectly. It probably also helps that part of the waistband is elastic.
